We couldn't, Bobo. Really - we couldn't.

I seem to recall he banged in a load for Barnsley that season, so your point still stands that he did well in Division 2. It's just that every time I hear his name I'm taken back to Ewood Park and the moment that he rounded Freidel. :hang:

this rings lots of bells!!
Vaz Tê dislocated his shoulder, an injury which kept him out of the team for nearly 3 months. Vaz Tê returned to the side on 29 December in an away game at Reading, he was brought on with 23 minutes remaining and his side down 1-0 and went on to miss a glaring opportunity to draw the match, as West Ham lost. Sam Allardyce said it was one of the greatest ever chances to score in the Premier League and the Portuguese striker agreed, and apologised to the Hammers fans.

Leigh Griffiths at Wolves is a target.

Young striker (22) who scored 23 goals on loan at Hibs last season.

Not according to The Oracle.

Did Sainsbury end up at a club? He was supposed to go to Basle but I didn't think that happened. Got another chance?

Oracle says he isn't one of the 2 almost done and that will be named in tomorrows paper. Doesn't mean he isn't a target 8)

All went quiet on Sainsbury, not sure what happened with him.

Strong rumours all over that Dougie wants Tom Lee's at Leeds. If true, maybe Mills will be involved in the deal?

Leigh Griffiths arrested over Edinburgh city centre assault

Former Hibernian striker Leigh Griffiths has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault in Edinburgh.

Griffiths was said to have grabbed a man by the throat during a row in the city centre on Wednesday.

Police said they were called to an incident at about 14:00 before arresting a 22-year-old man.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal in relation to the incident."

Leigh Griffiths was on loan at Hibs last season from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves, however, have rejected an offer from Hibs to sign the striker on a permanent basis.

So the latest from HIM.

Ricketts to Wolves.

Beckford and Hall likely to happen. Beckford fee agreed and Hall wants to come.

Billy Sharp a possibility at £1.2m.

Want Spearing on loan, but Liverpool want cash. Player wants Prem.

Kevin Davies talking to Burnley.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

I'd be happy with Leigh Griffiths, he's a numpty outside of football but clinical finisher and even in the Iron-Bru league he's been in electric form.

Ricketts to Wolves - happy with that
Hall and Beckford coming to BWFC - happy enough with that, if Hall was injured at the end of last season then a pre-season with Dougie might turn him into a find.
Billy Sharp - Notts Forest fans I know have raved about him but said he's not clinical enough
Spearing - gutted if he's not coming back but this could give Holden and Medo chance in the middle and I'm looking forward to that prospect.
Pfffft.

Getting rid of ricketts would get the thumbs up from me. Well past his sell by date, thinks he can turn out at left back and worst of all is a confirmed loser. Only Knight left out of the senior figures on the playing staff we should have pinned the blame for continued failure on.

Would be a sad end to his career I think. He won't be appreciated there due to his connections with us and Rovers and they'll seize on his deficiencies rather than any positives he might bring. Unfortunately I think they'll have plenty to seize on. I might be wrong but they hate us almost as much as Rovers after the whole Coyle thing. Sincerely hope he goes elsewhere, back to chesterfield maybe.

Very true. I'd love to see him pitch up at Bramhall Lane, really.

Ideally yes but I don't think they've shown an interest, Wednesday have though which would be a decent move. Boyhood fan doesn't seem to matter to fans, even Robbie Fowler supported Everton!

Well, Nixon's gone into print in't Mirror saying we're signing Beckford and Hall.

If Mills IS on his way to Leeds let's hope that's because Dawson's en-route.

Add Spearing & frankly that'd do for me. "Anything more would be a bonus ... " says tightrope walking weirdo with a red nose.

I'd much rather have Sharp than Beckford.
