This is Pratley...

as you can see he is unfortunate to have lost most of his right leg... but he hides it well...

variously flavoured Lancashire online news outlets have...
According to reports Blackburn Rovers are interested in Lorient captain Jeremy Morel.

Sources in France claim Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is looking at bringing the Frenchman to the Reebok Stadium.

However, it seems he will face competition from his Blackburn Rovers counterpart Steve Kean.

The defender is out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to agree a new deal with his hometown club.

And the two Premier League sides are reportedly preparing bids and will make a cut-price move in January.

But they face competition from French sides Saint Etienne and Lens, with Lorient demanding an answer from Morel about his future next week.

furthermore - he is both a defender AND a forward.. two for the price of one..

So... with six days to go...

reinforcements currently in the frame with varying degrees of likelihood:

Darren Pratley
Carlos Vela
Sean Wright Phillips
Jeremy Morel
Harry Kewell

(I may have made one of those up)

I thought OC said we'd been linked with about 30 or so...and we've only signed 1. So you must be missing a few. :-)

apparently Fulham fans are SHOCKED!!
Fulham - SWP Shock!

Some you win and some you lose!

After being in, reportedly, pole position to sign Shaun Wright-Phillips, it appears we may be about to lose out.

Reports filtering through infer that Wright-Phillips has a preference for Bolton Wanderers, seemingly preferring their style of football (?).

The suggestion is given further foundation by the fact that Wright-Phillips was spotted at the Reebok Stadium last night watching Bolton take on Chelsea.

Now we could cling on to faint hopes that he was merely watching his old team and we could hope that he`d be dissuaded from remaining in the north-west, but, if he`s not that keen to return to West London then perhaps we`d be better off without him!

Plus Fulham are on the brink of signing yon Kakuta, so their need for an unpredictable genius/donkey winger has been fulfilled.

We should go for pratley, purely on the basis of the photo with the story.Any man who has the beating of a shockingly disguised Ming the Merciless is OK by me.

Honestly, some idiots do. I kid you not.

Anyhoo, would a transfer window of (for example) Wheater and Pratley in permanent, and SWP on loan be such a bad denouement?

If SWP came here, I'd be honestly quite surprised.

Buying Wheater meant we are (according to the press) selling Cahill. So, if Pratley is coming in, does that mean Holden is going to sign for the Shlaaaaaags?

If we can find £60 Million, we might beat Chelsea for these fellas!

That is a serious, serious statement from Abramovic!

In a word. Yes, isn't it obvious that Holden always wanted to play for the World Cup winners?

Re: Muamba, his pace and power are ridiculously good, but even having a decent game like last night he still seems like he is surprised by his own first touch.

Pratley has looked shit hot from what I've seen of him at Swansea, though again that was in the freedom of a 4-5-1 which as a central midfielder I can say is soooo much nicer to play in.

According to this unscrupulous blog SWP is being allowed to leave on a 'free':

Bolton have offered £5m to sign Benfica forward Rodrigo Moreno on a permanent deal. (the Times)
Pfffft.

Gahhhh...beat me to the Moreno rumour !

According to a couple of sources, Wigan have offered 1m for Coventry keeper Keiren Westwood although cov want 2m. Maybe we're asking too much for them for Al Habsi on a permanent?
