You suspect Elmander is playing so he'll put pen to paper. If it has a happy outcome it's all good.

Lee getting some more rest is probably a good thing.
Lee is the best right winger we have at the club by miles.

Elmo could play all season and still not sign a contract.
t_o_molloy wrote:And a run of average to poor games from Taylor.
In your opinion maybe. Better than a whole season of mediocre to poor performances.

Can't wait for him to be subbed at 75 minutes and have a face like a smacked arse again.
Petrov has scored more goals in less games, and only has one less assist, I think. Goals win games, performances (which is debatable to whether Taylor has played well) don't.

We binned him off like he meant nothing, he's done nothing wrong.

He's not played for us for 2 seasons, he can celebrate how he likes. We just need to get back into the game now.

Terrible defending.

Robinson Davo and Petrov with Nolan stood on his own in the middle.

Should be playing Mark Davies and Chung Yong Lee instead of Muamba and Elmander

Oh fair enough, still don't understand why Lee was dropped though.

Please don't let this be a game like the Sunderland one, what is it about us in the North East? Thought that was a penalty then? Coyle shouting at the defence to sort itself out, no-one picking up Nolan.

Mini Davo on bench according to BBC

newcastle looks more threatening, right wing is non-existence and sturridge doing on his own. Davo really doesn't look like he is up or it.

Same as against Everton then, minus the Davo being up for it.

Elmander wasn't great until he went left wing, and Everton were awful, I'd bet Newcastle are giving it more of a go! :(
