Re: Nottingham Forest Away
Is that a dougie trend ?BWFC_Insane wrote:We conceded a lot in the 15 minute period after half time.
So I fully expect us to capitulate once the second half begins.
I thought that reflected the team talk genius of the short pants messiah?
Are we in League 2 yet - Three seasons and we'll be away to Chesham

Part two then and a forty-five minute battle. Youth team banged five in second half against Spurs last night and hope that rubs off. No changes mentioned? Looks like we're still defence minded.

We've had a shot, 1st minute of 2nd half. Way over from Mavies.

Re: Nottingham Forest Away
Early attck from us sees Mark Davies blast one over the top. "Ball just wouldn't sit down". Keeper gathers from another surge then Forest go again and Spearing annoyed at getting whistled up for a free. Reid.....and Bogdan catches a goal bound effort and clears.

He's got no service, just like Eagles last week, because our 4-5-1 is unstructured. That floating attacking midfielder is useless if you can't keep hold of the ball, so when playing that formation, we essentially have 10 men.gavlat2872 wrote:hows Mavies looking?

54% possession someone said - I'd say we have the ball, so that puts paid to that argument. And everyone said it was Sordell, not Eagles that didn't get any service last week. Trying to make facts up to fit your argument per chance?SmokinFrazier wrote:He's got no service, just like Eagles last week, because our 4-5-1 is unstructured. 54% possession is fine, but where is the ball? Every time the commentators are talking about us having possession, it's not through the centre of midfield. It's the defenders or wide men who have the ball so, again, it's ineffective possession.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:54% possession someone said - I'd say we have the ball, so that puts paid to that argument. And Sordell did have useless service last week, for the same reason Eagles did. Similarly, both Mark and Kevin Davies have had no service this week, for the same reason. There is no structure in midfield and it renders your attacking midfielder and striker useless.
Possession on it's own is fine, but it depends who has the ball. Mark Davies this week and Eagles last week, along with the strikers, have got nothing.

Re: Nottingham Forest Away
Mark Davies gets yellow number two for diving in. Lansbury fires a real chance over, deflected apparently. Corner cleared and the ball blasted straight at Bogdan. Too much Sherriff and not enough Robin Hood right now. De Rigger loses out and then we get a corner. Spearing hits it straight to the keeper. Forest go again and they're keeping the ball better than us. Corner them and...headed clear by KD before they attack again for Dawson to clear. Changes afoot and...KD gets wrestled down in a good attack. Free kick us and it's cleared but we're shaping better with passes and we almost get a real chance. Bogdan then has to give away a throw as Eagles replaces e Ridder.

So, wide men having the ball is ineffective? Does that make teams that make use of wingers ineffective? No wonder Fergie got rid of RonaldoSmokinFrazier wrote:54% possession is fine, but where is the ball? Eagles had a load of the ball last week and did nowt with it.
Where the notion he didn't get any ball comes from is just beyond me!

Re: Nottingham Forest Away
Forest still pushing and we need to get shaping up now. Alonso does well then Pratley gets a free kick near halfway. Uphill battle now and we'll have to get two. Another Whites attack fizzles out. Forest push again but Mears gets it forward. KD offside after a great ball in from Eagles. We can do it...we can...
