Keep the faith. We usually shine in the second half. :oyea:

I'm less worried about our ability to kick on in the second half and more concerned about the referee turning this into a spoilt contest. Gonna be tough to beat Oxford and the ref.

Decent enough half between two pretty evenly matched sides on the night. Baxter had more to to than their fella so I'd probably say they shaded it. Didn't think ref had been too bad tbf.

Yeah, no way Bodin was getting booked without Baxter’s booking.

Dare I say, to further alliterate the Bs, that Bod might be a good fit for a game such as this. We keep, confoundingly, going long, but there looks to be some joy with a striker coming deep and taking it on the turn centrally, as Vic half-did a couple of times.

It’s been pretty disjointed in midfield and that referee is falling for everything, too; however, a bit of speed and guile out wide and we could definitely get one. No shots as yet, though…

Oxford better side on balance but most of their opportunities have been assisted by the ref. Think we’ll see Dempsey soon enough - probably for Thomasson to save him being sent off. Not clicked for either forward but Victor would be the one to make way first.

Oxford look decent enough, but overall it was a fairly even half and we showed enough to suggest we can take all three points.

Thomason booking a bit of a concern and perhaps it might be worth bringing him off for Dempsey before too long.

Baxter presumably saying what we're all thinking. Ref not liking it, yellow for him and Bodin. Didnt look like their man was going to get one and I suspect the only reason he got a booking was an evening up process after Baxter's free kick.

Biased refereeing is the order of the day here.

Positives:
Better first 30 mins than Exeter
Some decent build up
Baxter looking to get his team of the week

Negatives:
Oxford growing into the game
Ref inconsistency
Sonic's kettles not working as per usual
I better go and get the kettle on.

Not bad news that Edwards has been subbed - maybe he threw himself onto the changing-room floor and broke a fingernail

Oxfords press is very good. We aren’t dealing with it at all.

We were due one of these performances.

If we can dig deep and find that togetherness that would be nice.

Clearly targeting our left side.

We could do with using our left side, or the middle of the pitch a bit better. We're very much focused down that right flank at the moment and they're dealing with it.

I don't think Charles or Adeboyejo have had much of a look in so far. Just a lot of pressure.
