And now, marvellously, I've got to catch up and do three hours' work in an hour. Back in a bit for the post-mortem. Because today, something definitely died.

One person I wouldn't want, and I would have said the complete opposite a few months ago, is Mike Williamson at MK Dons. Currently experiencing the same issues as Evatt.

Not bothered. Don't pick managers by plebiscite.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 4:58 pmHe'd be my pick, but not sure he'd be everyone's.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 4:51 pmSelles? Yeah maybe. I'm interested in your other shout of Skubala.

URGENCY.......Have we even heard of it? Captain Flatfoot and his Jelly Babies certainly havent. They played like we were 4-0 up
Much talking, no walking.
Thanks D.J.B for the game. The one bright spark in a bad day.

I agree with this. Only player with a modicum of respect today is Victor.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 5:03 pmURGENCY.......Have we even heard of it? Captain Flatfoot and his Jelly Babies certainly havent. They played like we were 4-0 up

The arrogance of some players when 3 down is alarming.
Saving grace is this was Wigan last season.

Work out manager. See if he can work with Markham. Take it forwards from there...

It wasn't a dig at him. More that prick on the right wing.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 5:16 pmBaxter did stop it being 5...DJBlu wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 5:09 pmI agree with this. Iles reporting Evatt as saying he'll be seeking "conversations" with the ownership.

Surely it should be the other way around.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 5:33 pmIles reporting Evatt as saying he'll be seeking "conversations" with the ownership.

I would say this is right. Looked like one of his first three games in charge. More players going through the motions today than back then.
Those conversations should be fairly short, but money might mean they're not.

He really is a prick. You just have a meeting and get on with it. It's like one of them I'm leaving Facebook posts and then they're back 2 days laternicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 5:33 pmIles reporting Evatt as saying he'll be seeking "conversations" with the ownership.

I can't wait for the statement by Sharon saying that he's staying.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 5:40 pmHe really is a prick. You just have a meeting and get on with it. Who would've thought so much rode on that game at Wembley.
Sliding doors 101.

Sharon needs to get a grip and hand out the P45. The whole club lacks ruthlessness top to bottom and that’s why it’s all so soft and ultimately useless.
Evatt should have been booted a day after Wembley.

He’s done. In a way the blessing with a dicking like that is there are no question marks. He stays well end up in a relegation battle. I think Duffs probably done us a favour in that respect.

It is so extraordinarily unlikely that he can come back from that; Sharon needs to realise that if she doesn't act, he could drag her down with him. "Get her out and get these Swiss lads in!" etc

I've assumed by "conversations" Evatt means he realises it's the end rather than anything else.
I don't particularly like Evatt as a personality and have been in favour of a change for a long time but I can't be critical of him for realising the time has come to leave (if that is indeed his intended meaning).
