A boot up The Cobblers? Northampton away, Tues Oct first 19-45.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Well I hope this serves to ground them a bit. Still plenty of improvement needed if we’re to challenge at the top.

Hopefully this'll serve as a lesson to learn, one that won't cost us points.

Yeah bit of a wake up call there then. Keep the HMS piss the leaguers grounded anyway.

Great result.

Looked like we might put a little bit of icing on the sweet cake. Instead I think the icing might be tasting a little funky after those closing moments. Its like making a nice cake and then dropping half of it on the floor.

Great performance, without the shine, as SJM says.

If it's 2-0 we probably don't concede those. Generally a good performance, but you have to stay switched on and it's a good lesson at a time we can afford it.

Didn’t get to watch, but have listened and caught the goals on X. Some blistering play—can only imagine what it must be like for Dion and Vic to sub on at 0-3. I wonder if Dion’d’ve made the right choice for 5, whether that’d’ve remained a clean sheet. I think perhaps.

Good to hear the support for Rico. Maybe the same conditions which suited us in the first half undid us in the last 5. I hear that the first came down their left. Crying out for a fresh RWB substitute aren’t we.

After a truly, genuinely awful start to the season...we are now 4 points off 2nd with 38 games left to play.

Very good result, I didn't watch the game but its another 3 points away from home that will build confidence and momentum.

Bit early to declaring any sort of achievement. We've bagged 12 points from teams below us. Good. Only the 1 point from teams in the top half. Less good. We're at around 1.5 ppg v a target of 2.1 to hit 92 points. We've scored goals and simplified what was, to me, an overly complex game plan. We've managed another game with 2 goals conceded. We're mid table, but not out of touch.

A significant improvement the last few games, both in attitude and points accumulation, but a fair chunk to do to get back on course from a disasterous opening spin.

Happy with the points.

Three points away from home and scoring four is no bad performance. Need to learn to see games out though. They last 90 minutes, often longer and that's the danger. Points wise, 1-0 is the same result as 4-2. Brum are under full sail at the top.

I think that run of Birmingham / Peterborough / Stockport / Rotherham is where we see if we’ve fixed the problem. That start will mean we need to keep winning to keep up that 2ppg till xmas.

All we can do. We need to win the next 2 (3) and then give Birmingham a proper game. If we can do that then we can go into the Posh game with something to play for.

Don’t care about giving anyone a ‘proper game’ we need to beat them.
