I think he just left at the end of his contract. Not sure.
He did. Joined Sunderland on a Bosman.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Fiorentina, who later loaned him to Sunderland.

I've only just learned of this. Who was on the bench on Saturday then?
Jake Turner.

Well argued.

I don't see how he's improved go £25m but he was always better than we gave him credit for.

Same with the winger Megson (??) bought at the same time.

I thought he was decent enough. Not 24m worth, but a good player! Imagine that sort of money though! Apparently we could of bought Rodrigo for 4 or 5 mill iirc. Think he hasn't long sold for a shed loads of money to.

Uh well.who needs money!

I suspect my gran has several nether garments that are older than his dad.

I'm sure I've read that he's spent time with the England setup recently so someone somewhere must think quite highly of him.

PP will want someone else in by the next league game, which is after the deadline... Unless it's a free agent.

They're just desperate to find a replacement for Hapless Hatrie. :)

Alonso was utter wank. Couldn't defend to save his life. Direct matter about the rest in that position. Bet Damian Duff fancies coming out of retirement!

He had a poor game away at Fulham once. Did you see him other than that? He left us just as he was developing into a very fine defender and all round player.

Everyone had poor games away at Fulham. Always. It was like that Michael Jackson statue took away the powers of even the very best.

He was certainly developing. Not sure I'd ever describe him as a good defender though. Not in his time here. Nice on the ball though.

Another Coyle special for us however, bring in a boy to do a man's job.

this recent attempt to be a poor-man's BWFCi with the ridiculous hyperbole... it's a bit daft (IMHO)
