I think we'll end up keeping one of Nlundulu and Bod, definitely an either/or scenario. Obviously Nlundulu favourite because he'll actually play, but if he does badly then we may just keep Bod.Prufrock wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 2:54 pm18 months is a bit of a gamble, but he's better than the sort of older statesman I thought we'd be in for. It's also not a video game, he's not going to go from "up to it" in Mid-May to useless in August.
Think that's probably the death knell for JDB though. And maybe makes Nldundlu in the summer more division and how-he-does dependent (assuming we get Ade as well).
If they're the two I'm happy with where we are up top.
I like Aimson too, but he has his limitations and tough to see him and the captain playing regularly in the same side. I don't mind him going as long as we replace him with a centre back.
If Sads goes I'd be nervous without another body in as well. Either side WB would be fine.
Add a midfielder in and I might start to get excited!

I think it comes more down to Jerome. You probably don’t need two experienced strikers in the squad. Especially not if we did go up.jmjhb wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 3:02 pmI think we'll end up keeping one of Nlundulu and Bod, definitely an either/or scenario. If we stayed down I’d say Bod is a good sort to have around and I’d still (pre signings and sales) have him as our best partner for Dion by some way.

We'll go into next season with the choice of trying to keep Nlundulu or refresh that position. Plus then being able to have a free run at the #10 position and possibly bring in a younger striker.
You can make the jigsaw work.
In the meantime we're just hanging on for League One's Erling Haaland. Someone fancy boiling Sonic's

Has he definitely gone then?

Re: January 2023 Transfer Window
Nothing official that I've seen.
If it's actually the same deal that was agreed in December (in terms of personal stuff) then you'd expect it to be straight forward, allowing for the fact that Johnston has been linked away and that might screw Aimson over.
I'd feel for Will if there genuinely was a big bid for George and he got stuck here.
I think the ideal situation now is Aimson gets his move, we open mystery box A and everyone has a lovely time.

Interested to see who we bring in at wing back now. We’ve lost Beck and Sadlier who were main cover on both sides. Imperative a wing back arrives now.

Have to say the loan is surprising. Does that mean we are paying some of his wages? I assume it does.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:01 pmSadlier leaves on loan...that last part surprises me.

Not a great afternoon for the web team - not entirely their fault, but a bad afternoon stillbrommers95 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:03 pmAlso confirmed in the piece on the website about Sadlier’s departureBWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:00 pmJust seen that.
