Re: Freedman out!
The most we can hope for under Freedman is an unpredictable season where every game is a struggle but we pick up enough points to be safe. I really think that's his level. I don't really feel like criticising him because I'm not even angry any more, I'm just apathetic. The players we have are too good to get relegated but the manager isn't good enough to get us anywhere, so we're stuck in a rut until sense prevails and Freedman is sacked. He's an awful manager. His signings are average, his much talked about fitness regime has done absolutely nothing, he's too stubborn to play 4-4-2...eh, whatever, I can't be bothered. The sooner he's out of the club, the better. In hindsight, he should have gone after the Blackburn farce and if he had, I'm sure we'd be in a better position than we are now.
I'm sure a fair few posters on here will be glad that he's instilled such apathy in me that I can't be bothered going into more detail, anyway! That's one of the few good things he's done, at least...

Re: Freedman out!
Poor, but on the upside we didn't lose.
If this carries on while we are only playing one game a week and he still buggers about and results don't come then I don't care if he is personally repainting behind the scenes, he'll 'af to go. We all know what this team is cabable of and expect better than the crap being served up on a regular basis, 'fraid it's down to Freedman and Lawrence.

Re: Freedman out!
Logically I think Dougie now has only the next 3 games to turn it around.
After the Millwall home game there is another international break and Jimmy Phillips can fill in again for a couple of games, giving us up to 3 weeks to get a new manager in place before December. With 6 games that month, hopefully the new man will have enough time to assess the squad before the January window opens!

Re: Freedman out!
He'll have been here a year on Wednesday.
We were 16th in the Championship at the time. Back then were shite at the back, looked lost in the middle and couldn't score at the front.
What the fook has changed? Except now we're 21st in the Championship and the ping pong tables have been ebayed.
The man's a charlatan and his only endearing quality is the fact he's not Owen Coyle.

... & truth be told we were fortunate to get the injury-time equaliser 3 weeks ago and could easily have been 2-2 ay B'ham, with the late handball.
That would have been 3 points less and still no win. Would he still be here now ?
I just think the club has nailed itself to the mast with him and he'll stay the season unless things kick-off.
Each player on our bench yesterday would enhance most teams at this level. There's certainly something wrong.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Freedman out!
Yup, I missed this controlled the game bit.
He is right in one respect - we had some chances to win it with Beckford and Eagles in the second half. I thought they were more likely, though, for most of that second half.

Re: Freedman out!
That interview is just so wrong - it's like he had a sighted guide sitting beside him and feeding his guide dog nibbles while telling him comforting lies that he's now recycling to people who were actually there and did actually see the slow moving shambles that passes for his football team.
If that level of bollocks - or anything remotely like it - is spoken in his team talk we are fecked...

I feel insulted by that interview. Seriously insulted. What a complete load of absolute bollocks.

Re: Freedman out!
Are we now officially in a relegation battle, or does that realisation not hit until 45 games in?
We are looking increasingly and uncomfortably like this seasons Wolves. And we won't wake up to that until its too late. Obviously with a much better behind the scenes set up, which, when you think about it is all that matters at a football club.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I don't think he even believes in himself any more. That interview, the developing ability to talk to his shoes. He never looks up any longer.
If that is transmitting to the players ... which it must be .... he's a dead-man walking.

Re: Freedman out!
I still don't think we're as bad as Wolves, or that we will go down. But even having said that, this can't be allowed to continue and he certainly does look like he has run out of ideas and the players are playing like they know it. The Birmingham game was a chance to push on and he's blown it again it seems. Next week will be interesting.Lord Kangana wrote:Are we now officially in a relegation battle, or does that realisation not hit until 45 games in?

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to tell us about looking forwards to "a season in the First Division"...All the new Clubs to go and see etc.etc. or was that just the cover for our previous relegation?
It certainly looks like the same sort of season as our relegation from the Prem season. Saturday's debacle reminded me a little of how I felt watching the Sunderland match towards the end of October that season and saying to myself "this is only going one way"
I think like that season, we may be there or there abouts down near the bottom, with just a chance that we fall the right side of the line, until it's too late...
Re: Freedman out!
did we`lose ?
if he's short of goals, it looks like he'll have to throw zclough in anyway , age be damned.

Re: Freedman out!
We could throw in Messi and wouldn't score many if we isolate him up front and can't pass in midfield
