Didn't Jusski once get sent off against Newcastle and we'd no 2nd keeper?

Not sure whether we had no second keeper, but I remember he got sent off because saint Shearer complained that he held onto the ball longer than 6 seconds. c**t.

Aye, then he smashed the freekick past a hapless Bo Hansen

I'm pretty sure that Jusski was the one and only keeper that ever got booked / sent off for that particular 'offence'.

I think there's a mix up there. Jussi was (I think genuinely) the only keeper to ever get done for the six second thing, and yes that gobby prick was int he ref's ear before scoring the free-kick but ISTR that was up at St. James' and Jussi didn't get sent off for it.

The Bo Hansen one was Jussi getting done for handball outside the box at t'Reebok. And then they scored straight from that free-kick too. Bastards. Not sure if that was Shearer that time though.

As for the rules, just name another kid then. Jussi Jnr in fact. It's more the money thing. I'm not on about not having a keeper on the bench, stick Fitzsimmons on. Even if he's not good enough to play regularly he must be fine to play half and hour should Amos get sent off.

wan't that cos we'd risked not including one on the bench - rather than not actually having one? can't remember!

You may be right. I have hazy memories of the handball, but it does ring a bell.

And I concur with folk who say we don't need to buy another keeper.

Shearer is a c*nt.

Banks was injured as I recall, and BSA decided to chance it. I remember Bobby Robson being bemused by it.

And Shearer is a c*nt. Wasn't it our manager's head that he stamped on and then said that if he got done for it he'd stop playing for England?

They 100% scored from the free-kick that Jussi 'gave-away' for not adhering to the 6 seconds thingy

Yeah they scored from both. I can still "see" the Shearer one in my head. Indirect rolled to him and then smashed in, the wanker.

I'm also pretty sure that not only did the prick score the free-kick, and not only was it given after he'd been in the ref's ear, but the reason Jussi had hold of it was that wanker kept blocking him off when he tried to kick it. Week-in week-out keepers would take the piss time-wasting about 10 seconds and nothing doing and then we get stung for it even though he was trying to get on with it.

Did I mention Shearer's a wanker?

Yep. Claimed it was an "accident".

They did. David Ellery the ref. I'm pretty certain it was the only time that rule has ever been put into effect. It was up at St James Park.

What a fecking cnut he was, and still is. Was so biased to top teams, United especially, I can't believe that he's still present on refereeing committees.
Love that that one doesn't even register in most people's memories of the times Mike Riley was a total c*nt.

Just found this on the 6 second incident.

Shearer? Clatteburg? A double-act of c*nts!

The last time I saw the sex second rule implemented was when Alan Shearer spent ten seconds committing obstruction against Jussi Jaaskelainen's run for ten seconds, before mark Clattenburg - the biggest starfucker in football - gave the free kick to Newcastle, and the winning goal came.

That was the one and only time I've seen it done. Every other time I've known people moaning about goalkeepers keeping hold of the ball too long, they've always added the time on to the end of the game.

I like the way Shearer picks Lennon up as if to say "come on I didn't touch you" then walks away in disgust as though Lennon is play acting. The dirty bastard.

I was at that Newcastle game. Ok the 6 second rule existed, but it was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. Jussi was being obstructed blatantly. Soon as it was given someone near said "well this is a goal then"....

Didn't Jussi also get sent off for slapping someone (Birmingham player I think)? The word "slapping" greatly exaggerates the force used.
