But if you happen to find you're the next Messi and happen to have been born in Luxembourg, France, Germany or Belgium would have found some "ahem" grandparents "ahem", like Tony Cascarino in reverse, by now...Bruce Rioja wrote:You just don't get it do you? I'll try and put it as plain as I can. A national side's ranking is not a reflection as to the ability of any one individual player. Now, I can't think of a more straightforward way of presenting it. If you still can't grasp the concept then there's no more I can do. Well, there is, but it involves me ridiculing you, and I'm trying to be good.bwfcdan94 wrote:No because they play for northern Ireland and Wales who have produced other great players. Furthermore I should point out that a lot of players now have the opportunity to choose from more than 1 national team as to who they play for. I bet you didn't know that Nani and Ricardo Vaz Te both grew up in Cape Verde.Bruce Rioja wrote:The principle remains exactly the same, Daniel. You're disregarding an individual player by dint of his country's ranking. Like I say, would you apply that completely ridiculous logic to say Gareth Bale? What about George Best?bwfcdan94 wrote:Andorra are a much weaker team then Hungary or Wales. Its like comparing Germany to northern Ireland. I have actually seen Andorra play and they are a team of dirty b*stards.

Whose inconsistencies?! You seem to be getting at the idea some people said that Could was a shithouse for hiring Sandy S and signing Mears Eagles and McKee, but are saying that Freedman isn't for signing Fleming Lawrence and Moritz. I don't see those arguments. People have slagged off Coyle and not slagged off Freedman, but I haven't seen people who themselves slagged off Coyle say Freedman is ok despite doing the same things. I've seen people say he hasn't done the same things, which you may thing is wrong, but not inconsistent, or, also slag him off for the same things. You appear to assume that anyone who says anything good about Freedman agrees with all the good things that have ever been said about him.Lord Kangana wrote:I'm merely pointing out the inconsistencies in the arguments put forward.Prufrock wrote:You might have been.
Who the feck blames anyone for bringing their staff with them? I've seen people blame Coyle for having shit staff, and for not sacking them when it became obvious they couldn't hack it, but not for not walking into a new job without anyone you know.
Now I appreciate your next point is unpredictably *what about Freedman* and fine, but what the f*ck has that got to do with a bored journo with a deadline linking us to players we don't sign.
You seem to be trying to invent reasons to have a pop at Freedman which is, frankly, astonishing given the number of actual and obvious ones.
The bright new dawn we're experiencing seems to be eerily familiar. I don't see why that would make you so angry. And there's no need for me to invent, when its actually happening. He talked of Moritz as some player who he miraculously just happened to sign. In amongst the rafts of bullshit that he'd fundamentally change the way we work. Whilst continuing to do exactly what was done before.
I'll add Lee Turner to that list, by the way, and remove Fullarton. Though he has got Palace connections.
By that simplistic logoc, I seem to remember you defending Coyle along time after many had turned, but not defending g Freedman until a long time after people had turned. Inconsistent you!

Indeed inconsistent me.
I'm still in a position to point out the inconsistencies of others when the shoe is on the other foot.

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know

When Freedman recruited Lawrence he was working for Bristol Rovers. When he appointed Flemming he was working for Palace at their academy. Turner joined Freedman from Southend United. When those three left Palace they sat top of the division, must have been fecking mad to bring them with him.

You mean a team that could take side to the top of the division we play in?

Come on fellas, this is the rumours and conjecture thread can we keep it please from falling into another discussion about how Dougie has gone wrong, I know just as much as you do that he has but let's just keep it to transfer stuff in here?
Pfffft.
Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
Often enough, I suggest, that Freedman would have been a bigger c*nt had he not brought them with him, than he could ever be accused of for doing so.

Your point was that a player from Luxembourg can't be any good because of his national side's standing. You've actually managed to confuse yourself, you absolute tit.bwfcdan94 wrote:I
Bruce I think your wrong because if you put Ronaldo or Messi in the Luxembourg team I guarantee you they would beat the likes of Georgia.

Would be really pleased if we could get some cash for him!(or even some beans).
Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
I've found some footage of this winger from Luxembourg.... Team in Black. Shirt No.7.

He had a good game. He's the new Dan Braaten.
The second goal of the game is an astonishing goalkeeping error!

I reckon if we can get rid of Ngog and receive even a small amount of cash for him, then we can finally consider this thread to be a success...however small

I see Swans are also after defender Rhys Williams, formerly mentioned in despatches.

Are their finances getting some pressure ? Those are two Championship level players tbh.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I see Swans are also after defender Rhys Williams, formerly mentioned in despatches.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
