Owd Nick'll be turning out with his duffle coat on before I'll forget the big lad's part in Boro's goals last season.officer_dibble wrote:Is that it then? Has Captain Zat finally said his last goodbyes?

.... & Beckford if he plays like the Birmingham game.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'd say 76% is about right. Wasn't there a season he kept shooting ridiculously while seldom troubling the goalkeeper, so much so that Sam banned shooting from outside the area? It wasn't all wine and roses.TKIZ! wrote:76 for shot?? Balls, more like 96.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Not quite, but something like this? After sucking up 12 months of pocket money. I'll just have a pack of Top Trumps next christmas, thanks Dougie.

From roughly February onwards in his first season here, in the season we relegated West Ham he was unplayable. Properly brilliant at times and one of if not the best attacking midfield player in the premiership. IMO the truth is he never really got back to that level again for the rest of the time he was with us.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I'd say 76% is about right. Exactly. I loved him, but Sam shackled him and we got a lot less from him in his last couple of seasons.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I'd say 76% is about right. He may have been, overall, more useful to the team, but his flair was muted. That time when he shot on site and rarely got it on target went on for quite a while.

All that money coming from the release of Knight, Mears, Eagles and Moritz looks to be put to good use:
