When Holden is fully fit and CYL is back then I'm not too worried about the midfield. Personally, I think we're crying out for a striker. Sturridge would be great, I can't see it but it must be more likely than Pavlyuchenko. What's Rasiak up to these days?

And we had to offload Anelka to bring in some fresh blood. So, all in all, be careful what we collectively wish for.

That is unless Sturridge fancies a stint here. And then of course, I said all along that we needed someone of his calibra.
he has a calibra? awesome

His is one of those special red ones.

Probably not, then again I'd have gone for (and who knows if we didn't) Sidwell and O'Hara too

Note to OC: Please check in advance if any agents fees would be applicable in the Sturridge deal

I love the way aussie_wanderer abbreviates 'your' into 'ur' but has the time to spell Diniyar Bilyaletdinov

All but Bothroyd! SWP, Krancjar and Sturridge are most likely though. If Cahill goes, as per the latest rumour on Twitter, I'd expect OC to try and sign SWP permanently

Kranjcar is pretty much the acme of the creative midfielder we've been after. So after 45 minutes he'd be getting pelters for not tracking back.

Irksome that the Sturridge deal depends on Liverpool taking Anelka in exchange for a takeaway Nando. They might change their mind if they can't come to terms with Nico but LFC have already rejected Sturridge. I'm not sure about him myself, but we need somebody in to add choice up top. Vela's agent might be a little shamefaced. Quite the picture that OC paints there.

I wonder if OC/PG are weighing up the financial cost of getting Pratley now as opposed to the potential cost of a paper-thin central midfield if we don't.
