Look on the bright side, at least he wasn't completely shit like Sean Davies when he wasn't injured.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

1) How can you remember Sean Davis
2) We won games without Sean Davis in the team!

Yes, but I was talking about Sean Davies.

Anyway, I have a feeling that one of the pre-season jaunts Coyle took them all on was Albatross shooting in the Irish Sea.

I know you cant blame everything on bad luck alone but feck me since we got to wembley:
-stu holdz
-stoke scoring a couple of right scabby goals to kill us at wembley (not turning up was our fault)
-chungy
-tyrone fukin mears before he hadplayed for us!
-being given this start to the season to shit on our confidence further
-stu holdz x 2
-2 really wanky, albeit correctish, red cards for players who could replace some of our deadwood
-ricketts - he even alive? or have they discoveted scurvy or something

how come stu gets 3 massive injuries and kev davies or zat knight never get any!!!

I suppose we've been riding an unlikely wave for the past ten years – it's got to come crashing down at some point...

I've been out tonight and was wondering what all the fuss was about, when I left it was only 6 weeks.

6 months is taking the piss, I'm just going to be waiting for them to say it was a mistake and is only 6 weeks :(

Yeah, my dad phoned me about 10 ish in a panic, saying Holden was out for 6 months. I said I'd heard, and that he'd misread, because it was only 6 weeks. We had a small argument along the lines of he couldn't work a computer, to which he said go and check the BBC then.

I did.

BOLTON, England -- Bolton midfielder Stuart Holden has been ruled out for another six months following surgery on the same knee injury that had sidelined him since March.

The American needed 26 stitches following a challenge by Manchester United defender Jonny Evans in a Premier League match in March.

Holden made his long-awaited return on Sept. 20 in the League Cup against Aston Villa, but Bolton announced on Wednesday that Holden was to undergo a "routine procedural follow up" later in the day that would keep him out for six weeks.

However, the procedure revealed cartilage damage and Holden now faces another long period out of action.

The 26-year-old midfielder, who has made 17 appearances for the U.S. national team, wrote on Twitter before the surgery that it was a "bit of a setback but better for longrun!" But his mood changed afterward.

"Floored, devastated, gutted, just a few words I can think of," Holden tweeted. "I will continue to fight and I'm ready for another tough journey....."

The news was also a setback for Bolton, which has missed Holden's influence during a poor start to the Premier League season. Owen Coyle's side is at the bottom of the standings after one win and five losses.

"It is a big, big blow for Stuart because he has worked so hard after he sustained the injury," Coyle told the Bolton website. "But obviously the most important aspect is to ensure Stuart's well being and that's what we are focused on."
