Re: Contract expiry
Mind you saying that if Dougie signs some all mighty, fantastic player then I will probably get a shirt with that name on instead. I still think Dougies great but now want Aidy at the Bok.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Re: Contract expiry
Have just noticed that the list had Ream contracted until both 2014 and 2015. It's the latter, with us having given him a 3.5yr contract worth (according to one source) a 30-fold salary increase to £20kpw. Hmm.
I haven't added Alex Baptiste, Marc Tierney, Hayden White and Conor Wilkinson, as they haven't yet been officially signed and their contract lengths aren't known (although Tierney seems to be three years).
Contracts until June unless otherwise stated. Corrections and clarifications (with citations) always welcome.
2014
Jan Gregus (one-year loan to Jan 2014, with view to permanent)
Tyrone Mears
Zat Knight
David Wheater
Sam Ricketts
Chris Eagles
David Ngog
2015
Adam Bogdan
Andy Lonergan
Joe Riley
Matt Mills
Tim Ream
Keith Andrews
Josh Vela
Darren Pratley
Chung-Yong Lee
Chris Lester
Luke Woodland
Michael O'Halloran
Marvin Sordell
Craig Davies
Zach Clough
2016
Cian Bolger
Medo Kamara
Tom Eaves
2017
Mark Davies

We, surely to God, can't have given that to Ream ??thebish wrote:i know it's old news and has been said many times - but i still can't get my head around what a staggeringly huge amount of money it is - twenty THOUSAND pounds a week...
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It was a pre-transfer "are set to..." from the Daily Mail. Google it if you must, but I won't be linking to it.bobo the clown wrote:We, surely to God, can't have given that to Ream ??thebish wrote:i know it's old news and has been said many times - but i still can't get my head around what a staggeringly huge amount of money it is - twenty THOUSAND pounds a week...

It didn't go totally unnoticed!

Of the 2014 crop, apart from Knight and possibly Wheater depending on his recovery, I'd be happy to see any of them sold if someone was willing to buy.
Unless there are significant numbers using the exit, I can't see Freedman having much opportunity to bring in players he wants.
Would be good if we could sell Ream, then maybe we could sell him again before his 2015 contract is up!

Re: Contract expiry
Wheater, Eagles and N'Gog need re-signing, for numerous reasons.

According to DSB's list from a page or two back, that penless bet hedging American has been unemployed since 31st May. How strange that he'd choose to earn no money for a month rather than sign the one year deal we're offering.
Businesswoman of the year.

Re: Contract expiry
Indeed, it seems DF isn't shy at cutting folk adrift to get who he wants in – assuming this adds reason to the transfer rumour that we're after a "young" keeper.Bruce Rioja wrote:Have to say that that really is a surprise, and a disappointment. Isn't there another young keeper on the books? Jay Lynch? I'm not surprised one has gone.

I have heard on here that he liked to party a bit to much, at the end of the day if you are one of the chosen few who is blessed with enough talent to play football professionally then going out on the town is not an option during any part of the football season.Bruce Rioja wrote:Have to say that that really is a surprise, and a disappointment.
