Yup.

Wants to appear really tactically aware and clever so does predictably unpredictable things.

It's because he's a cock.
hmmmm... if you really think that - go for it!

others on here recently suggested that when we were safe from relegation we should try out some of the players who are likely to be here next season and start building for that... seems to me dougie did that... people on here wanted Moritz to start... people have always wanted Hall (you wanted wingers IIRC)... people have long clamoured for Knight to be sent to Siberia on the next plane - and he was dropped to the bench... and - we won and secured the 3pts whilst doing so.

if we're not getting mason back - and we are safe from relegation - and there isn't a financial penalty for finishing slightly lower in the league... then why play Mason?

aye - maybe - but I never had Bobo down as an old bleeding-heart sentimentalist!

anyway - Mason was there on the bench - the crowd could easily have chanted their goodbye's to mason if they were that bothered...

I have mooted that possibility on here already. If he was trying out new options, and seeing whether certain players deserve a contact next season there there's a logic to bizarre selections.

I just wish I had faith that he was so structured. His constant dropping of players who played well the previous week is extremely odd. Almost done out of badness. "Why play Mason" would carry some weight if he'd not had him on the bench. Why not have Iliev or Clough there in that case ?

I've also covered my desire to see Hall blossom, but it's not happening right now & yesterday proved it again. Some serious coaching needs doing with the lad or he'll fade out of the picture entirely. I can even cope with him trying Trotter out in a new role. Surely sooner or later he'll find one which suits him. Probably at Bury. If we were experimenting on a poor man's Hierro I'd like to see tried Ream there.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

They gave him a decent clap in WSL when he was warming up on the touchline.

Would have been good to see him get on, if only for the last 5. Don't think we'll be able to afford to bring him back. Was glad to see the back of him, first stint, but played well off Duke, second time around.

Is it not a real danger that the experimenting/looking at players ends up being like an England friendly (pointless) when half the team gets changed in one go? Surely better to drop 1 or 2 players in/out, so you can see how they fit in to a better settled, maybe even balanced side. I'd argue it is unfair to the player being parachuted in, when he's dropped in to a massively changed line-up.

aye - mebbe so... unless dougie had bought him on and then we had conceded! then there would have been merry hell to pay and dougie would have been slated for stupidly bringing a striker on for daft sentimental reasons... and Bobo would have been making up quotes about dougie promising never to set eyes on a loan player, ever...

Well yes, of course there's that, but that could also have been because we were only one up, having already elected to play half the rezzies.

Depends which way you look at the team and how a person rates the players.

I guess "rezzies" is imprecise! but all the players we played were first-teamers...

Then you are asking a question that nobody can answer.

you could if you simply used your own definition of "rezzies" to answer the question... anyone could... even you!

my answer would be none, worthy's seems to be huge - half of our rezzies....

Has anyone though this?

Mason didn't play because there is a deal in place for him to return next season.

P.S. We did win, again.

No. I've not thought that at all. Mind, his price might drop a bit if they're in the same division, and I'm not sure they'd want to loan him to us.

Special mention for Matt Mills. Colossus of a defender for us.

No wonder he's had some time off though. His back was probably killing him for carrying Tim. Did it again yesterday too.

Baptiste got tortured. But he got feck all help from Tim and Robert
