I think it's when they use a rubber ball rather than a casey. Like is the school yard.thebish wrote:b...b...b... Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Eidur turned out in a Bolton shirt against Bury this afternoon and is scheduled to play again next week:

Lenin must really fancy him though. He's full of "I wouldn't be surprised if he signed for someone else now the cat's out of the bag" .... which sounds like "get him blooming signed" to me.thebish wrote:it all sounds promising!TANGODANCER wrote:Eidur turned out in a Bolton shirt against Bury this afternoon and is scheduled to play again next week:

... & reports are that he met Garty about wages and there were no show stoppers.

Re: Gudjohnsen training with the squad
Gutted we can't sign him before the game on Saturday. Expecting that he'll be there anyway and that will lift the crowd no end
Pfffft.

Re: Gudjohnsen training with the squad
TBH, I don't really see anything in the article that makes me think NL is close to wanting to sign Eidur. In fact, the "I wouldn't be surprised ..." quote reads as though he's actively encouraging other clubs to come in for Eidur in order to save himself the embarrassment of having to turn down a club "legend". Sorry, glass half empty for me on this.

He was man of the match in today's game and is now 'odds-on' to be offered a contract according to the Oracle.

So we're no nearer to knowing whether he'll sign than if he'd told us he had beans on toast for lunch then.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
