Re: BW Supporters Trust
For that to happen it will require a lot of money to be found. This is the part I think people are misunderstanding. As the club stands now there is very little chance of any supporters trust finding £15M a year plus to run the club.jonnycooper wrote:I for one wouldn't be against the trust taking over the Club, providing there is no hidden agenda!
In a few years if we end up like Portsmouth with spells in administration and very few assets and hugely reduced running costs it might be a possibility.
Re: BW Supporters Trust
Well I can answer that one. He is the former Labour Councillor for Westhoughton North and Chew Moor. I'm not from the area so don't know if he was any good.bobo the clown wrote:Just for clarification ... who "wasn't there" ?
Who is 'Christopher Peacock' ?
What, honestly, does a disparate bunch of concerned but ordinary fans expect from a Supporter's Trust ? It reads like they're hoping to create a cooperative of some sort.
How does £50 x 60,000 = £ 10,000,000 ?
What is the 'BBC Periscope' ?
What is Gary the Enfield's favourite on-line porn site ?
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

Fingers crossed that we end up like Portsmouth with spells in administration and very few assets and hugely reduced running costs just so that this can happen then.

No not at all. But a supporters trust isn't primarily set up to run the club. Rather to be an official voice for supporters and hopefully, have some say in the running of the club.CrazyHorse wrote:Brilliant.BWFC_Insane wrote:For that to happen it will require a lot of money to be found. Hang on. The OP said something along the lines of 'Bolton's wealthiest businessmen are prepared to fund the whole gig'. Is he talking shite then?Hoboh wrote:
Only if the club goes tits up, players leave and all assets are flogged off would we have any chance of fans owning and running the show or at least having a strong voice.

I was thinking that! The bucket shaking at the end was an embarrassment! They said Trevor Birch was gonna talk! He didn't ! Said the club have been brilliant with upgrading them to the premier sweet and treating them good! Then at the end that Peacock bloke jumps up and said if everyone could donate they'd appreciate it, as three of them payed for the premier sweet!
Where's all these wealthy people??? They have aspirations to buy the club? They struggled to hire the room!
Never get into an argument with an idiot. i'll bring you down to my level and beat you with experience

I get pop-ups for Loake's and Church's shoes whereas you get pop-ups for naked pregnant Asian amputees. How can this be?Gary the Enfield wrote: Not safe for work. Or, in my case last night, NSFH being Home.

The World Wide Internet obviously knows you are done with pregnant, Asian amputees Bruce.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Trevor Birch. But he was really, he just didn't speak due to a potential clash of interest.bobo the clown wrote:Just for clarification ... who "wasn't there" ?
