Eddie Davies is not a Director of the company...bwfcnottingham wrote:Wednesday's 2nd and 3rd goals were dreadful defending
2nd goal, the ball is crossed into the box, Dervite and Wheater running back (I use the term running only to describe the movement, perhaps I should have said plodding back) and the ball beats them both...PATHETIC
3rd goal, Wheater appeals for a foot up or handball when he attempts to tackle Hooper and STOPS , he stands STILL appealing to the ref and Hooper just blasts it in. PATHETIC
Defence cannot defend
Attack cannot score
Midlfield no pace, fluency and passing
Keeper seems a shadow of last season, confidence shot, flaps at long distance shots
That's why we're going down. Well assuming we have a club to go down next week.
I am dreading FOREST on Saturday. My 'home' game, which I am seriously worried could be our last ever game if we are wound up by HMRC
DIRECTOR's NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE
EDDIE DAVIES : You cannot just 'take your ball home' because you've had enough.
You are all directors of a company, you have a duty of care to act responsible, act for the benefits of the company , not act for benefits of yourself .It is mandatory requirement that as directors you are fit and proper persons. I hope HMRC strike you all off as directors and prosecute you for the way you have been trading

It was a good entertaining game and while obviously disappointing to lose, also a decent team effort that deserved the applause of the away fans. I missed their first goal because I was still in the chippy, but there was a fair bit of grumbling about Amos around us. He's been looking a bit ropey for a while I'm afraid. Second goal was down the other end but a brilliant first touch put their winger in and hooper got there first. Need to watch third again but looked weak defensively.
Madine just fell over it from my viewpoint for the first, excellent header from Wheater for 2 all. Then was our chance, as Wellington ripped them to shreds for half an hour but nobody can finish. Madine put a shift in but isnt good enough, feeney toiled but struggled. Trotter wasn't too bad on the ball but looks like he's running through treacle.
We never looked solid though, too open and always likely to concede.

First one Amos should have done better with but did it take a nick off Wheater? Second one, Hooper nips in front of Big Dave - no shock there - and for the third he is simply more nimble than Wheater. Yes, possibly a high foot (although Wheater was leaning in) but every 10-year-old knows to play to the whistle.

Best performance in a long time. Wellington was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch. They couldn't handle him. Piss poor defending for the second and third goals. You just knew as the cross was put in for the second, where the ball was going to end up. Dreadful finishing from Madine and Pratley, both of whom could and should have earned us a point. No other outstanding performances, but a decent one by the team against a Sheff Wed who will challenge for promotion.
'Highlight' of the evening was the journey home. The A61 back to the M1 was closed, so had to travel South and come back North. Unfortunately, the next exit was so poorly signposted that I missed it. Managed to get off the Mway at Meadowhall and head north, only to find that the M1 was shut near Wakefield, resulting in a detour through West Yorkshire. Smashing!

EDDIE still has a duty of care and responsibility and from what we are reading in the drip feed of info he appears to have been done neither. As for the directors the hmrc (or whoever does it) have the power to strike them off . If I ran my one man ltd. Company like this lot Irunning up huge debts not paying hmrc i would have been struck offWorthy4England wrote:Eddie Davies is not a Director of the company...bwfcnottingham wrote:Wednesday's 2nd and 3rd goals were dreadful defending

Dear Lord. To call that defending 'schoolboy' is an insult to schoolboys the world over. And Madine, the fecking shithouse, scores a goal that he knew nothing about and then does that thing whereby he refuses to celebrate against his old club like there's some enormous mutual respect thing going on - hardly Paolo Di cunting Canio is he?! The shit nice person.

Re: More than one owl? Count me in! SWFC away 12/1
Not sure what Wheater could have done different on the 3rd.. ?
He got done. More than arguably a foul for high foot. 'Play the whistle', is all very well but The striker was gone
There wasn't an earthly of Big Dave turning getting back into position to make a tackle and succeeding.
At the very best he may have managed to haul the bloke down give away a peno and cop a red card.. but I doubt looking at it he could even have got there.
Once he's done by the flick it was game over.. and he's every right to appeal because that's a high foot all day long..
Madine... LMFAO we'd be better off with a wardrobe

Am I the only one who thinks Amos "could have done better" with the first? It was a good hit but relatively straight? It didn't curl around his reach? He is susceptible to the odd long-ranger and is gradually being found out. I don't think he's up to it.

I said "should have done better" earlier. May have taken a slight deflection but it was a long way out.Dr Hotdog wrote:Am I the only one who thinks Amos "could have done better" with the first? I seem to recall, my dear 'dog, that you've never particularly liked Amos (or Lonergan) and have spent a while pining for Bogdan... I'm sure the Scousers would happily send him back... out of interest, are you a 'keeper? You seem to take special interest in them (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I've only seen the sky coverage and should declare membership of the union, seems that there is a strange flight on the ball right at the end it seems to swing back towards the centre of the goal and leaves Amos with all his weight going the other way and unable to adjust. Calling him for it seems a bit harsh without a couple of other angles to look at.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I said "should have done better" earlier. Keeper is the the least of our problems! Other than he's on a decent wedge! Amos is more than good enough for us!
Never get into an argument with an idiot. i'll bring you down to my level and beat you with experience
Re: More than one owl? Count me in! SWFC away 12/1
I got in late and missed it, but the guy next to me said that he'd started to go one way then realised he'd misjudged the flight and couldn't adjust. So pretty much what you said but slightly more critical.norm the jedi wrote:I've only seen the sky coverage and should declare membership of the union, seems that there is a strange flight on the ball right at the end it seems to swing back towards the centre of the goal and leaves Amos with all his weight going the other way and unable to adjust. Guilty on the pining, but I'm far from a goalie. I reckon they're the No.1 priority when writing a team sheet. Big Sam used to harp on with his "Clean Sheet = Win Game" mantra (or something to that effect). Factually it's incorrect (obviously!) but building from the back is something I advocate, and that starts with a strong goalie. Lonergan had plenty of 1st team experience but in my eyes is a limited 'keeper. So too did Boggers and I reckon we got stung (as usual) letting him Bosmanify himself. He was by far and away our best goaller when we had the luxury of bringing him in for the FA Cup game at Anfield last January when Lonny was 'in good form'. feck that shit. Play you best at all times in Net. You can't feck about with Goalies.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I said "should have done better" earlier. Amos had never been the No.1 for a full season for any club at any level before, so his signing was a risk. I get the cloth cutting (although I can't claim to know any figures) and we probably couldn't afford to re-sign Boggy and so we plumped for Amos. Pining. Regret. All those things. It's a steady decline and it hurts!

Yeah, all reasonable enough. I thought Amos was as good as we could expect in summer, and I still think he's a good 'un from what I've seen, but as things have turned out I now see him (and a few others) as walking pound signs. Can't be helped I suppose.
