I'd Rother be enamoured of our Neil... Rotherham (H) 6/2/16

That's my point!

Most players at least merit 5 minutes consideration based on past achievements. What that deal was about is anyone's guess.
Was he not a bit of a protest signing by Allardyce to get more money out of the board? As if to say 'this is the sort of shit we have to sign unless you allow me a bigger transfer budget'.

At least that's my guess.

It smacked of either desperation or agent influence ("buy this one, get first dibs on..."). He arrived from Spanish third-tier Cordoba and went back to Spanish second-tier Tenerife; when they got promoted he was bought by Udinese and immediately loaned back to third-tier Granada.

Other players who arrived that January (2006) included Matt Jansen and Ali Al Habsi. Squadmates included Johann Smith, Hidetoshi Nakata, Khalilou Fadiga and Jaroslaw Fojut. It was an odd time.

There's another one!
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I'd just like to stipulate that, although I wasn't prepared to part with cash for this game, I have parted with cash for Bolton games numerous times this season :P

The Derby boss has gone too.[/quote]Blimey. Some expectations there.

Redfearn has never been anything more than mealymouthed about us so I'll waste no time worrying about him.

But we must be the most "lose to (Bolton) and you get sacked" club in these islands. It's gone on for years.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

There's been at least three since Lennon has been here; Lee Clark at Birmingham in Lennon's first game, Neil Redfearn at the weekend and the most hilarious of them all, Uwe Rosler at Wigan. Allardyce got the boot at Blackburn right after we beat them under Coyle and there must have been at least a few when Freedman was here but their names escape me (Steve Kean might've been one?).

Keane (or someone) at Sunderland. Plus one at Newcastle.

It's a bit insulting really, isn't it?

Enjoyed that. But, you might want to correct the match date before Enoch reads it. :D
