I agree it is hard to see but there're still 45 points to play for. We're weeks off throwing the towel in yet.BWFC_Insane wrote:7 points. Hard to see us claw that back at this stage.CrazyHorse wrote:Get a grip.BWFC_Insane wrote:Think that's it folks. Can't see us getting out now.

We knew it was a long shot getting out of it, we gave ourselves too much to do...but come on, considering what us fans have had to put up with the last few years and especially this one, I'm surprised we're still in the Championship...could have been in league one already with the crap managers we''ve had!!

To be honest its no disgrace losing away at Brighton by the odd goal, and it sounds like a spirited performance....especially with the side we had out.DJBlu wrote:Truly awful week for Bolton.
No coming back from this.
Hope the next guy can get us out of League 1 cause this one can't find his balls with both hands.
But as bad as Lennon is (and tactically and organisationally I've not come across any worse) - we will be relegated because of Eddie Davies decisions not Lennon (although I'd still get shut of Lennon at the earliest opportunity), ED spoke very sincerely & very well about PG in the week, but IMO its Eddie Davies who is ultimately responsible for the position we are currently in & its Eddie Davies's fault that we will be relegated this season because of his abject failure to address the very publicised financial issues at the club in the past 6 months, which has and will have been a major factor in BWFC being relegated to League 1.

Seconded. This didn't sound like a team right up the top of the division playing the bottom. For a lot of the game we sounded like we were right in there. A break got them their first goal and Mark Davies gave them their third. But for that and Fenney not being able to convert a one on one, we had the points....okay, Aunty Fanny/Uncle Tommy stuff, but it ws that close....or was it not?CrazyHorse wrote:Get a grip.BWFC_Insane wrote:Think that's it folks. Considering very few people expected us to win or draw this weekend it seems strange to throw in the towel after seeing the team narrowly losing.
We scored two goals against a top four team. Let's build on that. Let's look at the next few fixtures.
QPR at Home:
They just got battered at home 3-1 by Fulham (with that 1 being scored very late on). They've now got to come to our place. That's a much more realistic game to look for a win.
Birmingham Away:
They lost their last home game, and drew 0-0 away from home with two of our relegation rivals. Granted we're away from home for this but a single goal could win this one.
Burnley at Home:
We'll probably be lucky to get a draw in this one admittedly
Let's judge the situation after these next few games. Granted the other results this weekend didn't go our way but that's football.

TD we are rock bottom of the table after 31 games, 7 points adrift from 4th bottom with 15 games to play - this 'get a grip' bollocks is exactly that 'bollocks'....people are entitled to be worried (although admittedly no more than at anytime over the past 6 months), we are down and we are down because we are consistently the worst team in the championship and have been all season - poorly run (ED), poorly managed with a squad of very average players - I've actually changed my opinion about the players being spineless, they are not spineless - they are trying, its just that they are just poor footballers, even in the championship we have a poor squad with a lot of average talentless players.TANGODANCER wrote:Seconded. Yes they played ok today but Brighton still had twice as many shots as us, and twice as many shots on target.

We could get 7 from these games. We could get 9 but the other teams around us are bettering or matching our results. A minor miracle is required. With our luck I doubt we'll be having one soon.Rjs37 wrote:Considering very few people expected us to win or draw this weekend it seems strange to throw in the towel after seeing the team narrowly losing.

Was never going to be a game v Brighton away that relegated us. It's the lacklustre shoite all season that's the problem.

Sorry bobo, I've not been through the cynicism orientation yet. A few more losses and I'm sure I'll be there.bobo the clown wrote:^^^ listen. It's just your second post. Don't go coming on here talking sense and failing to have limitless cynicism & despondency.

From the past four games, we've gotten 7 points. Other than Bristol City, you have to go up to 10th place to match that. Hell Blackburn haven't won a game since early-mid December.
Yes we need to win a lot of games to get ourselves out of it but it's still more than do-able.

And we are still 7 points from safety.Rjs37 wrote:Sorry bobo, I've not been through the cynicism orientation yet. A few more losses and I'm sure I'll be there.bobo the clown wrote:^^^ listen. Fifteen games left.
Three required, two wins and a draw, just to draw level with Bristol City.
So for twelve games we need to hang on for dear life.
Doable, yes. Realistic, no.

They're not great but they're probably good enough to finish fourth bottom. With a bit more organisation and tactical nous, they might even be good enough to finish a bit higher. That's one of the most frustrating things.Peter Thompson wrote:TD we are rock bottom of the table after 31 games, 7 points adrift from 4th bottom with 15 games to play - this 'get a grip' bollocks is exactly that 'bollocks'....people are entitled to be worried (although admittedly no more than at anytime over the past 6 months), we are down and we are down because we are consistently the worst team in the championship and have been all season - poorly run (ED), poorly managed with a squad of very average players - I've actually changed my opinion about the players being spineless, they are not spineless - they are trying, its just that they are just poor footballers, even in the championship we have a poor squad with a lot of average talentless players.TANGODANCER wrote:Seconded. The more games that pass by, the more I'm starting to lose faith. 15 games to go and 7 points adrift. It isn't insurmountable but our away form is really costing us here.

Just seen the goals we conceded.
Dorian Dervite and Mark Davies hang your heads in shame. Woeful.

Don't think Mark Davies is worth his place in the side to be honest. I struggle to think of more than one or two games where he's been value, and his output for a supposed attacking midfield player is beyond woeful.DJBlu wrote:Just seen the goals we conceded.

Rob Hall drew the foul that lead to the MK Dons winner.

Crewe away next year should be fun. Rodney Jack isn't there anymore. Gives us a chance.
