Prawn Sandwiches aren't Posh any more. At Home to Peterborough Sat, Oct 26th 3-o'clcock.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

I agree it was two mid-table teams , but I thought we were far superior to them. It was however the old story In parts , good product up until the final third. Their keeper was mom for them .
Stats bear this out, aye. We didn't look clinical and we did look porous but it did not to my eye look a level game.

Absolutely massive 3 points.

Turning points people.
Genuinely hope so.
That sorta felt like a Mark Robins goal...but only if they make it so in the next games...Always happy with three points but up until the last minute, it felt like 2 upper mid table teams cancelling each other out, despite imo an overall improved performance..

As for Santos excellent, he'd have been less so had Southwood not made the best save of the match.... :-)
Performance was very good. But that has to be the level. Every game. No excuse to dip - and can’t afford to. That’s league one level and we need to hit that every game come rain or shine.

Just watched that penalty again.

Their keeper saves it 3 times before Lolos uses his belly to get it over the line.

Peterborough will be fuming. Shame.

The couch will be on replay until Tuesday if anyone fancies watching it again.

We've gone from playing the league's leakiest defence to the playing one of the leagues best defence.

Lets hope we smash Stevenage.

I get why people are scared because he does take risks. Perhaps it helps to think of him as being a little bit like Maghoma but deeper - he often tries to make things happen, get us up the pitch. It doesn't always work (he wouldn't be here if it did) but that's the sort of change-maker, line-breaker decision we need to take if we're not playing "safe".

Blimey, the adrenaline’s still pumping! Delighted with the win, but we need to sharpen up going forwards if we’re to challenge for promotion.

Listening to Keith hill on the radio and the onions man said Matete has to play as the back three shield and on this one I agree with him. He’s not an 8. He’s a 6. And he’s absolutely by a mile the best we have in there. Sheehan - my off the ball comment related to the absence of defensive work. I think Sheehan needs to play more advanced if he’s to work because Matete excelled in the defensive role today. He was for me the reason Peterborough didn’t hurt us much.

These results like today and the performance does have a chance to be a turning point. But comes back to having to set this as the baseline. The level beyond which we can’t fall. It’s no good playing like this every so often. It has to be the default.

The other difference is that Sheehan tends to hide off the ball.
Really? I see him showing for the ball continuously.
Ah, thats probably because you watch the game as it actually is, rather than being blinkered by some weird personal vendetta against certain players....

Or maybe it’s because he misunderstood the point I was making which is that Sheehan offers nothing off the ball when the opposition have it. Matete today showed what a number 6 needs to do in this league. Thats the job.

It would be us all over to grab an injury time, fourth attempt pengy against the leakiest defence and get 5 agsinst one of the strongest...(said he hopefully) :-)

Darren Ferguson has seriously tried to suggest the goal shouldn’t be allowed as he was told the penalty would be the ‘last kick of the game’. So I think he’s trying to say the ref should have blown up when it was saved. Seriously?

It's an interesting point, if it's not for or against your team. Certainly a corner, they wouldn't wait for the move to complete, iirc?

And he can take his self-obsessed chairman with him for company, they deserve each other
