Taking Stock (port) ....A trip away to the neighbours. Sat Nov 9th, 3-0'clock.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Evatt far worse than Megson. He’s inspired complete indifference. And the team he’s assembled are stealing a living here. There is nothing here. Spineless and mentally weak. Time and time again.

Evatt is the worst (by far) thing to happen to this club. And I’m afraid the way the club is run top to bottom is setup for failure. Sharon has had four clear chances to do something. And failed every time. Sorry but four is way too may. Way way too many. Mental weakness.
Indifference amongst the playing staff?

In terms of numbers our support under Evatt has been outstanding. He's been backed throughout and had significant funds to build a side. We've played some great stuff at times too but his record in games like this is unforgivable. Time to go.

I want this lot in 7am tomorrow. Bricks in backpacks on their backs running up and down winter hill till 7pm. Same Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s nothing less than they deserve. It’s time to treat them like men and absolutely hammer them into the ground. Time they learned some responsibility.

If he’s not sacked now either:
A) Evatts shares aren’t as easy to cancel as we were led to believe and it’s legally difficult.
B) he’s shagging Sharon
C) Sharon isn’t in control and the ownership / shareholding situation is more complicated than usual.

The shares won’t be an issue.

Must be a fair whack of compensation required to cut up his contract though?

We’d have to pay him off, yeah, but he’s probably not on huge money. Few hundred grand to get rid of him, I’d guess.

Wasn’t there some alleged legal fees he was allegedly paying off as well that the club allegedly stumped up?

(Just to clarify - this is a genuine question - recall some ex Tranmere pillock banging on about it at the time).

Blokes an absolute ego trip, thinking we all should bow down to him and be thankful he’s here. One embarrassing defeat after another dickhead!

“We haven’t been able to train all week, we have had players off ill, players who have had to have IV electrolytes before the game – four or five of them in the starting XI. It has been a disastrous week and it has finished in a disastrous manner.

From start to finish there was nothing about today, apart from Rico and Josh (Dacres-Cogley) who have been the most poorly this week, they were the most competitive.”
So… our sickest players were the best? Doesn’t really back up the excuse then does it.

I think we’re all fed up of this nonsense now.

Evatt will be planning a pretend public cry and talking about how hurt he is before reverting back to his bag of receipts.

Was there. Not going to talk about the game. Scraps in the crowd a la Burton. Ironic chanting and incredulous humour. Best bit was a drugs dog barking at some lad’s crisps. I smiled. Oh, smiling.

Which poor member of the backroom staff takes the flak this time?

Just took a glance at the championship table. Derby sit in 12th. That’s Paul Warne’s Derby. You know the ‘you can’t play like that and get results in the championship’ nonsense Evatt comes out with Paul Warnes Derby.

Borsdane, I take it you mean the crucial away game late in Parky's second season when we got timidly beaten? I remember seeing some fistfights when we were losing at Wimbledon the beginning of the season before. In some ways I admire it - it's almost always because each protagonist loves BWFC (they just don't agree on what should happen) - but in other ways it's obviously not a good reflection on the prevailing mood...

Well, missed that game in its entirety. Sounds like I picked the right one to miss. Shocking that we'd lose 5-0 to someone whose just lost 5-0.

Frankly I’m hoping jmhjb doesn’t have a probation period given his earlier post.

I see George Johnston has said the players own it, they sent the staff out and had a frank discussion post match.

Evatt signed every single player out there. The captaincy farce we’ve had this season is down to Ian fecking Evatt.

We’ve no leaders.
We’ve no mettle.
This is Evatts Bolton. If Sharon does not act now, serious questions have to be asked about what she and the board know about football and why they do not understand what a shambles we are. The only team we can beat within 20 miles is Fleetwood town!

Certainly we might all disagree. But we are all wanderers after all. I’d be sad to see violence or fighting in the crowd regardless of the reason.

I’m more angry at the players than Evatt. And have been since Wembley.

Evatt is responsible. Ultimately. And his refusal to face up to what he has built is infuriating.

But these players. I can’t think of a group I’ve thought less of. Bar Thomason, Dion and Baxter and maybe Collins and Johnstone - I’d be delighted if the rest had their contracts ripped up tomorrow.

Indeed you could march them all up Bradshawgate naked as we all shout ‘shame’ at them. Evatt too though I’m worried Amy might turn up then.

Understood mate. It’s fair. I keep thinking back to that article / series on Todd’s wanderers side from 96/97 that was done this summer. How they came in for pre season training and the group were up for it. Knew Sasha had to go, had leaders in there who pushed each other. Most importantly knew they had to fight for points, prove that we could hold our own, battle of Burnden and all that. And now we’ve got a team who season on season turn into bigger fecking fannys than last season. The captaincy debacle - there’s not a leader among them. Evatt and Markham fecked up this summer, no doubt.
