Re: January transfer window...
If they are going for this (quite ludicrous) loan. Then that has to mean SWP is going to get his way and leave.

Not bothered about SWP, but Sturridge could be just what we're after!

Is SWP right-footed?
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

It's the only one he's gotArmchair Wanderer wrote:Is SWP right-footed?
Re: January transfer window...
If true very bizarre. Maybe they want to try out the market for loaning players in instead of out for a change.TKIZ! wrote:Just read the Larsson loan move story. Just weird
Re: January transfer window...
On Sturridge, am I the only one who thinks his goal record isn't actually all that bad considering he never plays? 9 in two years with very few appearances (though only one league goal) isn't horrendous. It's not sparkling either, but I think it's a tad unfair to describe him as a pacey yet no end product type just yet. I'm personally excited about it. Wikipedia has him as a Bolton player now so obvs, ITK, it's done!
Despite not rating him at all as a top player, or England player, or team pushing for top four player, I'd be pretty happy with SWP on loan too. Freshen things up. Would be problematic in that neither he nor Chungy has a left peg though.

Re: January transfer window...
I'm quite happy if this deal goes through. Sturridge has scored some goals with as you say very limited playing time.
Re: January transfer window...
Great news, lets get swp in as well.
Re: January transfer window...
Sturridge is a decent young prospect who is very quick and has excellent ball skills.
Even if just for half a season, yes please Mr Coyle!

Re: January transfer window...
1513: The Guardian and Telegraph are both reporting that Liverpool have met Newcastle's valuation for striker Andy Carroll. £35million.
Edit: or more accurately if you believe this £34.8 million.
Another Edit: 1542: Skysources are reporting that Carroll is on his way to the north-west.
Further Edit: 1552: Sky Bet have suspended their market on Andy Carroll joining Liverpool. He had been backed down from 16/1 to 1/5 before the market was taken down. Paddy Power go 1/8 that he leaves Newcastle today. He's 9/2 to stay.
More speculation

Re: January transfer window...
Sturridge's Wiki page has been updated to being a Bolton player. He MUST have signed.

Re: January transfer window...
Not exactly a Bolton transfer story but Celtic are looking to sign West Brom defender Abdoulaye Méïté on loan.
