If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!

Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman has been speaking to Sky Sports about debutants Jamie Ward and Matt Mills:

"They're both good, experienced players in this division. I'm hoping they'll bring the quality and desire to defend that we need.
Exactly the problem mate.

Lennon is unwise to make the comparison (and it is undoubtedly a comparison: "We lost Eidur so we were looking for that type of player and Stephen can fill that void"). It doesn't help the player and frankly it doesn't help the manager.

He's a long way ahead of Freedman's PR and I hope to God he always will be, but there's been some worrying quotes recently (this, the one about not practising set-pieces) of the kind that would rightly have got Freedman pilloried.

Maybe Lennon's always been like this but has had more forgiveness from fans of a winning team. I hope we get back to being a winning team, and I hope Dobbie helps that.
That's something that's interested me... since Lennon has been here the club has really upped it's online presence, which I think has had quite a positive effect on the fans and the perception of the manager. Now was it coincidence that this happened close to when Lennon came in or was it down to the fans not liking Dougie and the club waiting until something changed to bring this online plan into action? Did the club think he was as effective at PR as Lennon has shown to be?
They'd upped their online presence before Lennon came in.

Probably nobody watched it though.

Lennon is no great orator though. I think he is more about a certain presence.

A very good first impression. Let's hope he's not shy at buttering the parsnips.

Nice to see Freedman's obsession with a ludicrously deep defence cost his team again. He'll never learn.

Prince's loan to the dutch side ended in relegation from the top division in 12/13. It's similar to the experience Faye had when we signed him - he had just been relegated from Ligue 1 in France with Istres, dead last.

Good interview. Hope he plays well when he gets the chance and add some much needed competition at centre half, freeing up Ream to take the left-back slot.

We've got international clearance, Clarence for Prince so he is now eligible for todays game.

Okay, I'm now convinced we'll put in a good performance today, not sure we'll get a result but I'll go for a narrow win to start the season. COYWM!

Eh!

We've swapped our new French centre half for a boss eyed lion.

I knew things were tough but .........

I'd be delighted with a draw and a decent performance to be honest. That isn't being negative, just that we are playing one of the best sides in the division and we have a few injury worries.

Also I think we will do better this season with the expectation off a bit. Hopefully we will play with more freedom and surprise a few sides.

I won't - I am never happy with a draw unless we equalise in the last minute.

Aye though you think Lonners has just let a goal in though..... perhaps the meds need adjusting.
