Hmmm, perhaps you're onto something about this football malarky there.

I thought we would struggle to get a result today - I don't think I have seen us beat Neverton at the Reebok.

In fact we were fairly good. Not outstanding, but easily good enough to beat them. I am not going to criticise anyone in the team as they all put in competent performances.

Shows why the bookies always rub their hands when they see me making an investment.

I went to this one and was pleased I did. Horrible day, slippery conditions but we did great. Super Kev getting back and sticking his boot in for the team. First time I've seen Sturridge play, he looked very lively and knows where the goal is. I generally don't notice our defenders but what I saw of Wheater sticking to the guy he was marking like glue was all very good. Knight injury looked bad, hopefully it wasn't that bad. Will be interesting who plays on the left when CYL is ready to start a game. Great team effort, we could have let a sneaky one or two in but we didn't and we were strong when we needed to be.

Was reading the programme on the train. I'd forgotten that I saw Jussi's first game at Selhurst park. Looked solid again.

Happy wanderer returning to the armchair!

firstly it did all cross the line - at least it did on the freezeframe on MOTD!
secondly - I'm not sure that's the rule anyway...

Straight away saying we didn't deserve the lead, that the weather was awful, slagging the drummers off etc etc!
Why is the guy so anti Bolton Wanderers?
Is he paid to commentate, impartially. Or to constantly slag off Bolton Wanderers...?
Alan Green is robbing a living. Asked by Savage who had played internationals for Bolton recently, he got Ricketts and Jussi. So between the two of them they decided that Everton were more tired. he even said "Elmander won't have got a game".

They actually pay cnuts like him. I feel like giving up at times.

yeah - and then had the nerve to list Tim Cahill as having been to the Asia Cup - without recognising chungy had too! - wanker!!

he then said - awww bless - look at that posse of Korean fans who always turn up even though Lee doesn't often get on the pitch... - wanker!!

Not often, as in a when-you're-twelve-thousand-fcuking-miles-away-its-a-bit-hard-to-be-on-this-pitch kind of way?

I can't believe how much I hate Alan Green.

Well, unfortunatewly I missed MOTD due to speaking with the lad in America onSkype and I've read differently from some here, so okay on the rule, but the freezeframe on the stream didn't show that, and the commentators didn't think it had during the game. Makes no odds now.

You have to feel sorry for Everton. Sunsport claimed it was "a scrappy win" and Moyes moans about it being the worst his wonderboys have played all season and the free-kick a diabolical decision. None of the ones they got were less than stone-cold right, of course. Maybe we should keep replaying the fixture till they win and justice is done?

For the record, everywhere on the pitch the whole ball has to cross all of the line to class as 'out'. So something barely on the edges of the penalty area counts as in. Looked miles still in in real time, and up our end too. Not seen a replay. Will comment on game tomorrow. But chuffed.

On the Alan Green-esque ranting though, I just watched David Moyes get interviewed by the BBC guy who asked him if it was frustrating that we brought in Wheater and Sturridge and they couldn't do that, as if somehow we only won coz we outspent them. That'd be the team with fifteen million pound shithouse Fellaini (good player, but a cnut, and not worth that much), ELEVEN million pounds Bilyaletdinov (bag of shite) and non cheap players all over the park. Cnut.

He's definitely a good 'un, that Wheater. Has moments of Beckenbauer-esque wandering, just like our Gaz

Thought we deserved the win - can't really recall the keeper having to make any proper saves.

Taylor disappointed again, though his workrate was much improved - evidenced by his tracking back (a reluctance to put his foot in still grates).

Holden was much like his pre-Christmas self too which helped, the lad was everywhere and was harshly denied that goal but maybe 3-0 would be an unfair reflection on what generally was a hard-fought game.

The referee was fecking dire, again, as was the liner on our side. Maybe that serves us right for going moaning about his mate. Hmm

Good on Neville too, the little inbred ratbag skiprat prick - gave as good as he got with the charlies on rows 1 and 2

I thought we were fantastic, we made the game ares and didn't give them a seconds rest for the whole 90 minutes, we showed we were ten times fitter then them and it showed in the late stages when we were still chasing ball down, delighted with the performance, March Back To Europe Begins Again!!!

there was the diving one-handed save to his right in the second half - pushed the ball round the post - looked like it might have sneaked in... otherwise - not much other than the fairly routine...
