I think Bolton getting into Europe (or not) will have a large impact on Elmander staying or going.

He won't be staying if this is true.
Bit of agent tomfoolery maybe?
Nothing concrete here.
But there is a long jump between Juve watching him, or even Juve wanting him and him going there.
Lots can happen yet.
Nixon seems to have a pretty good record for OC related stuff, why the fook we should believe he knows more about what Juventus are after than any other tabloid hack is beyond me. Not even like Juve have to tell OC. First he'd be likely to hear of it would be from Elmander as a bargaining tool.

It seems like more than a couple of weeks since OC's "couple of weeks" re the Elmander signing.
Mind you, he has been busy.

According to SSN, we're being linked with Jason Puncheon but then so are Everton, Newcastle and Blackpool

Who?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I'd imagine managers have a fairly good idea who is watching their players. They usually have scouts who inform them and often the "watching" isn't as secret as is made out. Managers talk. Scouts talk. Players talk.Prufrock wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:The mirror story was a Nixon one so inevitably is true.Wandering Willy wrote:Aye - it's a Talksport article, though the Mirror had a story about Juve sending "top secret spies" to watch him.BWFC_Insane wrote:Until he actually signs for someone there is every chance he will stay.Gary the Enfield wrote:http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/ ... t-elmander

An Alan Nixon article in the Mirror today says Stoke are after Muamba. A serious suggestion or unsettling him for the semi final?
Potters will wrestle Trotters' for £5m Muamba
Stoke City boss Tony Pulis wants to snatch midfield enforcer Fabrice Muamba from FA Cup semi-final rivals Bolton Wanderers.
Pulis is keen to land the England Under-21 regular in a £5million summer deal after making inquiries about the hard-working star.
Muamba has been in and out of Owen Coyle’s team lately which has encouraged the Potters to think they have a chance of landing him.
The former Arsenal and Birmingham City midfielder will probably be in Coyle’s starting line-up for the Wembley clash with Stoke, but Pulis would like to have him swapping sides for next season.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
be more than £5m
Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
I'm not sure of that.jaffka wrote:be more than £5m
I like Muamba. He works really hard and is an important player for Bolton. However, I personally think we paid every penny of his value when we bought him. £5m seems the right value for a hard working limited footballer who cannot shoot or pass.

Hang on a second, lets be clear here, we're only going to be selling to Stoke if we want to.
If it was Spurs or someone, yep, it'd be hard to keep him.But then the fee would be higher.
As it is, a team slightly below us in the league, not as established as we are in the top flight, wants to buy one of our young players for the value we payed for him. I think its a non-story.

Yeah, he's a 22 year old Englishman with nearly 150 Premier League apps already and three and a half years left on his contract. Not had a great season, but £5mil is a nonsense offer.
