I thought it was the other way round. Fergie taking Burnley to tribunal?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:If you want a famous player, we'll have to stump up bigger money. But still whenever I've seen him he's looked wank! We'd have to hope that the angry old knight has forgiven Coyle for taking them to a tribunal over the fee for Richard Eckersley. He's a stubborn old goat in a lot of ways, is Ferguson, but hopefully he'll realise the benefits of loaning near-finished gems.MJH-12 wrote:United have a few fantastic youngsters in Ravel Morrison, Matt James and Josh King. Two midfielders and a striker there who we could definitely take two of for next season
As an aside, Eckersley is now at Toronto FC on loan. Cracking move for a 22 year old is that!

Not really. Dalglish generally bloods any decent youth so I guess it'd depend on his summer shopping list. Jonjo Shelvey is a good player who may be worth a look at.Lord Kangana wrote:Liverpool's probably a better source. Someone mentioned Coyle and Dalglish get on well.
Do they have anyone worth loaning, though?
Looks like we're going to struggle bringing in a striker of Sturridge's class this time around. As has been mentioned before, Borini looked outstanding for Swansea since he joined them and I think he'll probably want a bigger challenge. He's a good shout.

On last nights evidence that whole Swansea team would suit the way OC wants to play, which ones would make the step up successfully is the key. That Borini looks great till it comes to a final ball or shot.MJH-12 wrote:Not really. Dalglish generally bloods any decent youth so I guess it'd depend on his summer shopping list. Oh and Sinclair did not impress me.
Re: Boltons next top striker?
Did anybody particularly rate Sturridge? I thought he'd come, add a bit of much needed pace, and any goals he scored would be a bonus.BWFC_Insane wrote:I don't rate Welbeck, I realise he's done well this year for Sunderland. But still whenever I've seen him he's looked wank!
I'd be delighted with Welbeck here. I suppose it depends how settled he is up in Sunderland.

I thought that too. Here's hoping Cardiff do the bizniz against them in the final. Rich pickings there. Plenty of mobile players who don't mind having the ball.

I think at the last count they had over 7000 players on their books. So shirley one or two of them are worth a look at.Lord Kangana wrote:Liverpool's probably a better source. Someone mentioned Coyle and Dalglish get on well.

Mind, on the other hand Benitez signed most of them so maybe not.

Raheem Sterling!! Now I know we hate YouTube, but this lad is awesome. He was taken with the squad in one of the european games this season but didn't make the bench. They signed him from QPR;MJH-12 wrote:What's the young 16 year old called who is ripping up trees in their reserves?CrazyHorse wrote:I think at last count they had over 7000 players on their books. His fee was decided by tribunal because Coyle wouldn't pay what Ferg wanted.boltonboris wrote:I thought it was the other way round. Fergie taking Burnley to tribunal?

I thought they poached him as he was at the end of his contract, but because of his age, United were entitled to compo. Hence the tribunal

Er, yeah - transfer tribunal as fiscal arbitration, not industrial tribunal as indicative of wrongness...boltonboris wrote:I thought they poached him as he was at the end of his contract, but because of his age, United were entitled to compo. Hence the tribunal

Yes, but err, just because i couldn't really afford anyone else on my fantasy football leagueTombwfc wrote:Did anybody particularly rate Sturridge? Re: Boltons next top striker?
Dennis Oliech, his wikipedia page suggests he's never really played anywhere decent or scored many goals, infact it suggests he's a winger, but I bought him on Football Manager 11 and he has been a 20 goal a season man for me, plus he's dead fast and that, I can't see how this could go wrong.

Re: Boltons next top striker?
One I'd like to see next season, in the late autumn of a brilliant career, but when I've seen him in the sampions league this season he's been fantastic. Always working hard to score, puts in a shift for team, never gives up; and a natural finisher. Anyone else who'd like to see Raul in a Trotters shirt?
