It's clear the answer to that mystery is unlikely to ever be solved. Obviously there were some deep issues going on.

There are many rumours but they don't warrant investigation by us.

His family continue to get on with their lives while struggling with the background of all this. His parents feature locally from time to time, his wife keeps her own counsel and I've never seen or heard a word from her after the first few weeks and, for those interested, the two sons appear to be well adjusted and decent kids doing OK despite this terrible blow two years ago.

To be honest I think they should all be left to it and I question the value of Leeds and Everton holding ceremonies this week to be frank.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Many of them perpetrated by people who really should know better. One particularly unsavoury account was told to me by a former DCI.

I saw this thread. I realised I'd forgotten he'd died! How terrible is that. It kind of makes me wonder about other stuff I thought was important, but in the light of that revelation, obviously can't be.
