Re: Bolton v Wolves: The biggest match of the season, again
Isn't that always the case, since when we are a goal threat in the last 10 mins.thebish wrote:we won't score a second if this game goes on for 20yrs...

The voices in my head may not be real...but they have some great ideas!
Re: Bolton v Wolves: The biggest match of the season, again
thats it a 1-1 draw, feck me we are poor
Re: Bolton v Wolves: The biggest match of the season, again
Fecker. Thought we might have nipped a second at one point there, and then we just drifted off and lost it. Something's got to give here. We can't keep this up and expect to stay up.
Re: Bolton v Wolves: The biggest match of the season, again
I just voted for a draw in the poll. Hope it happens.

Great match for the neutral, but relegation now beckons for sure.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Can't fault the players for a lack of effort today. Plenty of attack and plenty of willingness to get forward and score but just a resolute Wolves side keepin us out of it. I thought we were by far the better side throughout the match (aside from the last 10 minutes) and we could've scored a second. Klasnic had an off day and nothing really landed to him.
I think a draw is about right. If we give away cheap free kicks and don't mark properly then we deserve to concede. There were a few instances where that was the case just outside our box.
What this match does highlight though is the difference between the two sides. When we've got a set peice opportunity we rarely look threatening. We're too busy trying to be clever or ambitious with it when we should be simply putting it in the danger area and letting a few people show their character and attack the ball. Laying it off to Klasnic to have a 20 yard shot on goal might work in training but in a pressure cooker environment all it takes is a simple mistake and it makes everything that much harder.
Glad to see Ricketts back. Gave a good account of himself today. Shame about the lapse in concentration but he's on his way back its expected. Offered a lot more going forward and gave us a few opportunities from the left flank.

If Coyle loves the club as much as he claims, then he should resign to give us some chance of staying up, because there is none whilst he in charge.
Absolutely dreadful again.

The Sherpa Van Trophy! We've won it one time!

We've drawn a game for the first time this season.

Sadly, I think it's been beckoning...Bijou Bob wrote:Great match for the neutral, but relegation now beckons for sure.

The second half pretty much epitomised our performance over the past 9 months: lacking confidence and cohesion all over the park and an abject showing on set pieces.

Cause we were doing that for the rest of the 90 and we looked knackered. Still you would've expected them to give it a good go.thebish wrote:here's the mystifying thing...

Just wish we had a decent set peice routine which lead us to believe this might be a goalscoring opportunity. At the minute its like we don't know which one to take.

Because if we make positive substitutions and it backfires ( eg against Newcastle), its wrong to try to win.
So said numerous posters last week. Same posters said hang on to what we have, Not my way of doing things, I agree with Bish, but other more vocal posters wont agree.
