and I'd probably agree with you and also say that was the same for a number of the others. To which I'd point the finger at dougie with his inexplicable chop changing/ crap man management. I'd really love to see us have a bit of consistency in selection with a team that earns the shirt and then is rewarded with keeping it if it performsBWFC_Insane wrote:The trouble with Eagles is that after his good performances in the early and latter parts of the last season he has reverted to his inconsistent showpony displays.StaffsTrotter wrote:think you might be surprised wrt eagles - few fans of other teams I know rate him/ single him out as dangerman.thebish wrote:that would be a coherent and plausible explanation... I know he's not always on his game but he's positive and wants to take people on and make things happen. strikes me as a kind of player who wants to take every free kick etc and don't think it helps him to be in and out of the side and for others to seemingly have taken the deadball specialist role (e.g. spearing !!!!)
I don't think his heart is in it.

I think Bury and Accy Stanley are on the lookout for a wingerBWFC_Insane wrote:I'm sure they will if anyone is buying, which I doubt....jaffka wrote:Bin him off in January then.BWFC_Insane wrote:Yep. Just watched the goals from this. The play from Knight for both their goals was just.....unspeakably bad.

I never expected Knight to think he was Rudi Kroll.
Fck, that was poor.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Now that the game is a few days older, Knight actually made me laugh with the first. The second I think that Lonergan needs to have some blame attached.
Re: Lost the last one, Boro chance to put it right
Think the major crime was the keeper - should never try to sweep up in those situations when the defender is in control
Knight even orders him to stay put by the look of it.

I think we agree but when you have someone in front of you who doesn't inspire confidence, people will try and over compensate - which is what I think happened.Athers wrote:Think the major crime was the keeper - should never try to sweep up in those situations when the defender is in control

Is Bogdan now fit? If he is that could be the excuse for Duggie pinging him back onto the bench.

While I wholly appreciate your desire to change a defence that conceded five at Leicester and set off as if aiming to double that against Boro, Hayden White is an 18-year-old who has recently been converted from a winger to a right-back and has never played a senior game. It would seem somewhat silly to put him in in the wrong side of defence.LeverEnd wrote:I didn't think Knight was that bad after the two errors but you can't leave someone who does that in the team White was on the bench, stick him in at LB and reinstate ream at CH. Hardly ideal, but Knight should just be gone. Where is Wheater? (that's how desperate I'm getting)
I could understand White at right-back - assuming Mears is still persona non grata, with which I find it hard to agree given our defensive troubles - with Baptiste back on the left, where he's far from ideal but willing to try his best. Most importantly that pushes Ream back alongside Mills, not only allowing us to quietly rest Zat but also giving us a hope of some balance in central defence.

Or we could just sign Aaron Hughes as I suggested, will be cheap as chips given he is now 34.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

That's the problem.
He's 34

would still do a better job then any other defender at our football club, he might be 34 but he still captain both Fulham and the NI national team. You don't play game in game out for your national and your premiership club team at 34 unless you halve decent. I wrong though lets just play roulette with who we pick, I think its what Dougie does with his starting line-ups now anyway.

I'm sure he's more than capable. But he doesn't fit the kind of player we want.
Ie; he's good.
But realistically, we can't go on with short term fix after short term fix. We need saleable assets, or players who could be with us for a while

Fair play, thought he was a LB. Was probably thinking of that kellett lad. I'm thinking White might get a game on Saturday. Does anyone know what's going on with Wheater?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:While I wholly appreciate your desire to change a defence that conceded five at Leicester and set off as if aiming to double that against Boro, Hayden White is an 18-year-old who has recently been converted from a winger to a right-back and has never played a senior game.
