Never imagined him coming on in this game anyway. Would be one of the more surprising decisions to play him if he did.

Danns off? I would've thought his link up play would've been more creative to the front men than that of Medo or Spearing. Still I think Dougie's under the impression that we've still gotta keep this tight. Personally i'd've liked to have seen us go with the extra attacker and forgo the Medo - Spearing midfield. All or bust really.

I suppose 2-1 doesn't seem embarrassing.

Nice to see Chungy looking the part. This definitely looks like his level. Shame it doesn't seem that way when we're up against worse opposition.

Spearing dives to fillet Oscar, making his bid for first use of the soap

Think he would have been offside if he'd touched it..

Chelsea should be smart enough to see this one out now. Think that Mason / Beckford effort was probably our best chance to get back in it. Would've fancied us to get back in it if we started this late rally a bit earlier looking at how much we're getting at them.

Tonight, yes

not me. i'd rather go further in the cup than gain a couple of extra places in the league - if that's the choice...

Sheff Weds are getting tonked at City. 6-0 last time I looked. We're not doing too badly...

Chelsea through. Surprise of the night is we gave a good account of ourselves and got a goal. Aside from the late rally from us it's clear we gave them too much respect.

Finished 7!
Good effort tonight, this is a defeat that we can take positives from. Let's hope the positivity continues into Saturday's game.

Irony?

We couldn't get near them for 80 minutes

Well, outclassed (which we are) but fair play.

Now go and take some spirit from that.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
