Re Feeney - I thought his distribution was good on saturday. For a winger who apparentley cant cross I'd say 80% is a decent success rate. Anyone who disagrees I'd label an internet spanner I think...I wish lennon would make him captain to well and truly fcuk the muppets who slate him off.

80% is an astonishingly high completion rate for crosses. Including corners.

Thought the same thing myself when I read that yesterday
On this: it's two years today since the Stretford Rags attempted 82 (!) cross against Fulham, connecting with 18 of them without scoring.

Red crosses failed, dark blue crosses reached their man, light blue crosses created a chance, but none of them created a goal.

Or, put another way:

The number of balls flung into the box between about 25 and 28 minutes in that video is staggering!

Possession yes, shots no. Well, they've been a bit better for the last fortnight, but there were a couple of home games where they'd got to the hour mark with maybe 2 efforts on goal.

Fair number of decent crosses in there too but the bloody good defending needs a mention!

Thought the same thing myself when I read that yesterday, problem is with Feeney and a few others in the squad people will be on their backs regardless of statistics and performance.
The write up in question was quite clearly written by an individual who goes to the game having already decided how well (badly) someone is going to play. Internet spanner.
