Tutu MOTM.
Lolos has done more in 30 mins than Collins and Sheehan combined.

Finally. The first good thing to happen in two weeks

Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!

I strongly suspect you're right, but I'd need to see Tutu actually start a game. I like what I've seen.The_Gun wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 9:29 pmLook, I’ve not got my UEFA pro licence yet, but I’m going to put my amateur credentials on the line and say that Schön is our best left wing back, and Tutu is our best right wing back.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 9:23 pmAs I said prematch, JDC will start vs Rovers, Wigan and Wycombe if Evatt's in charge (and it now looks like he is)
Maaaaybe Tutu could replace Schon

He's training to be a kit man.

Maybe that was the problem with him getting injured. Maybe this is the way we get the best out of him. Agreed with this. Thought it was odd at the time to relinquish more midfield. And im genuinely intrigued as to how that would have turned out 11 v 11. But there you go, a win. Very odd one!

We’ve got to start on the front foot at home. They have to get Tutu into this side. It’s crying out for him. We can’t defend for shit so we need to be attacking and in ‘score one more than you’ mode.

Nice win that. Nice to know we can beat 10 men and nice to know if we attack we do well.
Noticeable difference in effort levels once that first goal went in. We looked genuinely threatening as opposed to genuinely threatened.

Thanks for the couch DJ
Weird how flat I feel about that. Normally a comeback feels great, but that didn't do anything but a grudging nice one

The big question is would we have gotten back into it 11 v 11 ? If your feeling flat I suspect it’s because you think not.

Yeah I felt flat too, perhaps the shock of what happened in the last 20 minutes and us making it look easy.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 9:46 pmThanks for the couch DJ![]()

Even down to ten men, the most I expected was us to snatch a late undeserved draw. Tonight hasn't answered much, we were pretty bad outside of the first and last 20 minutes.

Let's up the training to beat eleven men now. All it needs is for a Steve McQueen look-a-like to ride a motor bike up the tunnel and replace a man with a flag while the band plays Great Escape. Easy..
I doubt even I.E. can claim tonight was part of any plan, although he may well try. We'll take it though, deserved or no. Get in...
Cheers for the Couch as ever Boss.

We all know it shouldn't have to get to the 70th minute before we start performing to the best of our ability, or even have to wait for the opposition to be down to 10 men.
There was a spell at around the 10 minute mark that I could get behind, but the rest of it. Including the goals was very flat. Much improved with our attack in the last 20 mins, but still, hardly to get fully up for when it seems like papering over the cracks.

Because Ormerod got their shirts mixed up, according to one wag on our row.

"Get your feet off the furniture you Oxbridge tw*t. You're not on a feckin punt now you know"

I note Arfield wasn’t even on the bench tonight. I wonder whether there would be any clubs willing to take him off our hands next month?
