Wonderful point away to the league leaders. This was not going to be pretty and I thought Evatt got his tactics right tonight. The team fought to a man. Never intimidated. Proper football game. MoTM .. Williams. That interception in the first half was simply brilliant.

Forester was decent. Showed some of the fight we missed last week. But he played at Stockport and was shite so I dunno.

We weren’t great, midfield especially. I think the only real difference between tonight and Saturday was it wasnt Wigan so we didn’t bottle it. Not sure it answers any questions for me.

A point's a point and away to the Leaguers leaders looks better than it actually was. Main worry is our inability to score, although their keeper made a couple of timely saves. Neither Collins or McAtee are exactly dangerous up front and our clearances from defence resemble a fairground bingo ball machine running amok.

The point's been made a few times about a muscular lad like Vic being brushed off the ball so easily but it's a fact. Charles never had a chance with the quality of balls going forward and still looked our best strike option. Better service from the defence might give up opportunities up front. Williams really put a shift in all game.

A stay of execution for the pickers and choosers, but we do need a general gee-up.
