To be honest, he appears to have answered certain specific points, and (unlike politicians) to have addressed them head on. He also seems to have answered allegations against him, and doesn't appear, to me, to have made any new point here. Therefore it's hardly FAKE NEWS. It still may well be bullshit, but it's a response, not news.

It is all very sub-Trumpian in tone, though
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

It is a political response. He is refuting Iles' points, suggesting it is Fake News. There aren't 2000 fans missing, but those that are missing are likely to be reluctant to put their hard earned money into a club that is constantly in the news for being about to go bust, or because players/contractors/management aren't being paid. Everything he is saying is designed to defend himself. But the key point is he is giving the impression that he is running this business terribly, and is maximising the negative news coverage it gets, whilst taking a substantial amount of money out of the business in paying himself and his family.

He has certainly convinced me. His known background suggests he has never ran a medium sized business, and certainly not a loss making football club. He isn't honest, he has no money, and needs to leave.

OK. Many of your points I'm in agreement with. I was looking at the article from his perspective, and, from an outsider too used to politicians evading answers.
I don't want him at the club. I don't think he's a good businessman. He does need to leave... but none of those things make me want to retract what I said about his article, actually.

#enoughisenough. Leave quickly. The lies, the games he plays, the Administration threat when we were playing well.. that just killed my spirit. We need someone at the top who we can trust.

Marc Iles has addressed some of Ken’s points, in a series of tweets which it’s far too fiddly for me to copy-paste while on a commuter train.

Here we go again! Again...again...again...

That cancelled interview on Saturday is the straw that bloke the camels back for Iles I Assume.

Ken’s is no bullshit I guess but do I believe it?

The suggestion that performances have been negatively affected by Marc Iles’ post-match player ratings is top trolling.

Almost as top as Iles’ response. For the record I reckon I have seen 4’s from him, but nothing lower (and I think some have deserved lower!).

To be frank the fact our chairman is having a war of words with a sports writer in our local paper is rather alarming, or even embarrassing.

I don’t think he has the funds or the will to carry on much longer - he was happy lording it up when we were on the up; now it looks like we are in the shit he’s trying to distance himself.

Having said the above he was the only show on town. Sell up now and leave relatively unscathed (and a bit richer as well I reckon).

Yep Ken ain't very popular for various reasons but who the hell do BWFCST think they are? Demanding this and that, is this the same bunch of morons who were supposedly buying the club in the first instance until they found monopoly money wasn't accepted in the real world?
Ken don't communicate? Spouts off regular if you ask me. What they really mean is they want influence and access to Ken and his decisions, really! just who the hell do they think they are? They sure as shit don't represent the majority of BWFC supporters.

This is mostly my view too. If those who 'run' the ST got their mitts on the club, the club wouldn't be fighting to stay afloat. No indeed, we would be so deep in the dooh-doo that it'd require aqualung's to avoid sinking without trace.

Yeah. The ST scare me. I hope we never sink so low as to allow them any influence at all on how the club is run.

PP pre-match press conference. Parky confirms players still haven't been paid but Ken's hoping to "resolve the situation today". I bet he is.

Iles:
Parky says he does not expect a fire sale at #bwfc in January. "I shouldn't think so. Nothing like that has been indicated at board level. Most players are under contract."

Surely under contract means we have to pay - ergo if we are breaking our side do they not have the ability to do the same?

Not my wheelhouse but...

I'd guess they could sue for breaking the contract but if they spoke to other clubs without permission they'd be equally culpable, and given the potential loss of transfer fee (bear with me on this) they'd be seen as having materially affected BWFC. What's more likely in that situation is a mutual agreement between player and club(s). What's more likely in this situation is that none of our players are worth a transfer fee. With two exceptions, they weren't when we got them and they've hardly blazed since.
