I thought that he had a great first half, but definitely faded in the second. The same could be said about the past few games as well.
I just don't think that he can last a full game any more, so it's great that we have him and Petrov who can do the business when the other is tired.
talking of which... Sean Davies?? how far is he off recovery?
Aquaplane?
Pfffft.

Re:
Not convinced Mavis is the same kind of player. He seems to be OC's standby centre-mid substitute, but that's because OC loves to throw things forward. An underplayed but telling strand of life under Coyle is the sheer weight of attacking options on the bench: usually just the one defender, two strikers, Mavis and two wingers. And Bogdan, of course, Beano ain't stupid...Lord Kangana wrote:I think Mark Davies is the obvious third. He also seems to have come on leaps and bounds in the last months. From his cameos, not only does he have the requisite skils, he seems to have developed a work ethic. A potent combination.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Might be one of the consequences of our high-tempo pressing game: we always make three changes among the front six. I thought Davis looked way too aggressive in the Charleston friendly. I'm hoping Coyle works with him on this, otherwise we may as well play with 10 because Davis is going to be sent off anyway.Lord Kangana wrote:Well hows Savies' revovery coming along? The last I saw of him pre-season, I'm afraid to report he looked "portly". And my worry foir players the wrong side of 30 with long-term injuries is that they never seem to recover previous fitness after a long lay off (anyone remember the returning Andy Walker? Pork Pie alert!). And the one thing you need to be a Wanderers midfielder in 2010 is energy and fitness.

Re: Matty Taylor
Doesn't Sean Davis' contract expire at the end of this season? I think it might.....plus £30,000 is a lot to knock off the wage tab.
