I had to google Nicky Brookman - Before my time

Neil Fisher scored in my first game, always had a soft spot for him

I know Bruce, it's a disgrace.

How about Ian Stevens or Warren Joyce?
Someone is surely going to put Malta's no.9 in their XI??

All very nice mate, but I think you meant that post for the Wanderers best Eleven 1964-present thread...

Start again, choosing via favouritism rather than merit :D

Looks good to me. I can't remember Brown playing but he's there for his work warming up the teams before a match.

I'd have this team but I can't remember Sellars either so replace him with Wilshire, and maybe swap McGinlay and Gudjohnsen for me. Oh, which Blake? I'd maybe swap him for Anelka as he seemed to have more respect for us.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

He's a quiet, polite & essentially shy man. Made some mistakes as a youngster but came to Bolton and proved to be the nicest, most pleasant ... almost humble man.

He never sulked, never pouted ... signed a contract extension which doubled his value before moving to Chelsea ... hence we got £15m rather than £8m.

When he married he invited all the back-room staff. Cleaners, groundsmen, office staff. He paid for a chartered plane for them all, hired a hotel for them & they joined with all the others.

But these stories don't suit the media, so aren't publicised.

You know I would not be amazed, when Chelsea bin him, to see him back ... though he does say he'd like to return to PSG, the club he supports.

To be fair, he was VERY young when he came to us and it sounds like it was his brother as his agent who was a thoroughly nasty piece of work which reflected badly on him.

There aren't many players who can say they have played for 4 out of the 5 current best English teams - and Bolton... ;)

Anelka, nice guy, plenty others have sulked when shunted out of position to accomodate Kevin Davies, but he worked hard, got on with it, and most importantly scored goals...

anyways I was tempted to just go with the 96/97 team...but I'll say

------------------Jussi---------------------
Bruuuuuno----Gudni------Taggart---Gardner
--------------Campo----------------------
----Frandsen---Okocha----Sellers-----
--------------Youri-------------------
-----------Super John----------------

Subs
McAteer
Davies
Andy Walker
Tomo
Branagan

I'll of changed my mind in the next 10 minutes.
