Man we could of used him towards the end of the season when we had Gardner and Elmander in Centre of midfield...
I'd rather support Bolton than be you.

Haha. Yea, whatevs.
Or maybe ball-boy to pick the ball out the net, the 18 times we conceded in 7 games.
You seem to be insinuating that Gardner performed better than Nolan last season. Or did I read that wrong?

If there was a serious possibility he'd improve the centre midfield, which is as it currently stands:
Holden
Injury every few games Mavies
Muamba
Sean 'last seen in 1992' Davis
Infact he'd even improve our forward line....
And yeah, he wouldn't work in the 442, but he'd work better than Sean Davis legs
Re: Would you have Nolan back?
Does anyone think that Nolan would contemplate coming back here though? I don't think he would

Like somebody said, captain at Newcastle and on £60,000 a week, why would he?TKIZ! wrote:Does anyone think that Nolan would contemplate coming back here though? I don't think he would

Gotta agree. Newcastle has far more to offer him than we doTKIZ! wrote:Does anyone think that Nolan would contemplate coming back here though? I don't think he would

Aye - that's why they're not offerring a new contract.
Wanting Nolan back here is a good case for the banning of alcohol.

They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

He's still got 2 years left as well. And I'm sure after that he'll be looking for a team that can offer more to him than us.Wandering Willy wrote:LiOC wrote:Gotta agree. Behave, Nolan lack of form surprisingly coincided with LSL and HWSNBN being in charge.Wandering Willy wrote:LiOC wrote:Gotta agree. Newcastle has far more to offer him than we doTKIZ! wrote:Does anyone think that Nolan would contemplate coming back here though? I don't think he would

Looking at the poll would suggest not. If he'd be able to play our system, i'd have him in a flash. Don't think he would come either.TKIZ! wrote:Behave, Nolan lack of form surprisingly coincided with LSL and HWSNBN being in charge.Wandering Willy wrote:LiOC wrote:Gotta agree. Apologies meant looking at the poll would suggest you're not.William the White wrote:Poll says yes...LiOC wrote: Looking at the poll would suggest not. If he'd be able to play our system, i'd have him in a flash. Don't think he would come either.

And that is the point. He couldn't play in our system.
We are moving towards a more passing game and rely on midfielders closing the ball down and making takles.
Approaching the man with the ball arse first with arms stretched out horizontally does not constitute tackling in my book. I am not sure we can afford a passenger in a 4-4-2 whose only contribution is to titty line.
Just don't think he is the sort of player we should be looking at.

Re: Would you have Nolan back?
Funny you should say that. I saw him yesterday plodding around Wilmslow. I wouldn't have recognised him had it not been for the BWFC 118bet training gear and the fact he was in shorts. Couldn't grab a quick word with him because he was on the other side of the street but it was definitely him!officer_dibble wrote:Sean 'last seen in 1992' DavisRobbieSavagesLeg wrote:Man we could of used him towards the end of the season when we had Gardner and Elmander in Centre of midfield...

So he mooches about in his training gear incase people forget he's actually a footballer? I can see why to be honest....
