Petrov.

That's it.
That's quite a big one after last season.
A very accurate one though, Willy.

Happy about Petrov.

It's like a new signing. 8)

Dreadful after a promising first 20 minutes. Mark davies only player to stake a claim. Eagles disappeared after the opening period. Pratley didn't get started. Front two close to abysmal. We spent far too much time kicking it long to SKD, who was seriously ineffective.

awful night.

Not really surprised. Disappointed perhaps. But not that bothered about a pre-season friendly, obviously... But we need that new striker - these two won't cut it this season. Davies hasn't really done so this year.

I see from a match report that he missed from 5 yards. Was it a half chance or a howler?

A half chance for Davies is an open goal 8 yards out....

Cross came in from left, Klasnic(?) was near post, tried a header and missed it, Davies had stopped running and didn't anticipate it coming through so the keeper collected.

Struck me that there was a bit of a reaction to the two leg breaks. Our players didn't seem bright or lively and it's bound to have had an impact. Best to get it out the systems and be ready for next week. Can't read much into preseason games. Have to say though that Kevin Davies increasingly looks like an old man trying to keep up. Definitely need a striker and a wide man in or two strikers!

Need a forward in before QPR....that and Norwich are our only chance of points before October!

Prove me wrong Kev, but I cannot see you being at all useful this season......you can't keep up :(

In a premier league game SKD would have been sent off twice, an elbow in the face of their centre half in the first half and an awfully late challenge, well after the ball had gone, in the second. The guy behind me commented that Davies had lost "another yard of pace from last season!!!" We must have the slowest front 2 in the premiership. Seriously worrying at the moment.

I'll save being mardy til we get ripped apart at QPR next week and have the sum total of 0 (zero) attempts on goal.

I was looking forward to the season now I don't want it to start.

So what you are all saying is we would prefer to sign Jerome than what we had on show tonight, ould give us more pace but would it increase the fire power?

If you're asking for ideas about football from forum users then you'd think we really were in the shit.

What a bunch of reactionary know-nowts

Know-nowts?
Sturridge, Nugent, remind me who else we had signed in June already?

Combined with the fact the opposition are probably the best we've played this pre-season, by far, perhaps?

You'd hope that in the next 7 days we'll bring in at least one striker..?

Lets not over react. The players obviously didn't want to get injured for the season opener next week and its understandable. We did score a goal last night that was ruled out for offside so it wasn't as bad as some are making out. Lets not let one match and a few leg breaks detract from the good performances that have come from the good results in pre-season.
