Muamba to start beside Reo-Coker in front of back four of Boyata-Cahill-Knight-Gardner...

Holden on the bench...

But he'll come on... Really don't want him risked until he's well, well ready... And especially not trying to over-exert in a difficult game... Or do some think Arse away an easy one these days???

Don't change more than one defender at a time unless you want chaos... not a good idea against Arse away... I prefer the thought of Gardner on the left than Wheater in the centre...

Knight was faultless today.

Have I missed some reference on another thread? Cos I'm finding that a bit enigmatic. Elucidate GG?

Why th feck would anyone suggest putting Knight back in? Christ we've been leaking goals left and right, clean sheet tonight and by all account Wheater had a decent game!

Don't get the logic. Don't change more than one defender? We kept a clean sheet tonight, why change any barring injury?

I don't see why we can't just keep the same back four from tonight. That would be as consistant as any other team changes so far this season. We've chopped and changed a lot.

In fact, I would say we've played 8 different players in that backline so far.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Aye if they are all fit keep the same back four. In fact I'd even be tempted to keep the same team. Only players that would be harsh on would be Petrov and NRC, who probably should come in for Pratley and and Kakuta!

Fair enough if you think midweek away in the Carling Cup at Villa is equal to Arse away in the Prem.

And, tbh, you may be right.

But I think the earlier part of my post - Muamba and Reo-Coker - enough of a shift for one game, add to that Gardner on the left, then a new CB - for the first appearance in the league this season - and you have a real possibility of confusion...

Incremental rather than panic change is my choice...

I say with a squad system you give players a chance in games like tonight, if they take it keep em in. Villa away is considerably tougher than Norwich at home and Knight is consistently shite!
