Bruce Rioch
Abso-foo-kin-lutely. And on the back of the lean years that dated back to Ian Greaves.

That Friday night in Hull will never, ever be bettered by anything. It just can't.
Best. Game. Ever. Very closely followed by the Reading play off final.

and the 6-1 against tottenham. That night was amazing
Great games under Bruce have to include the FA Cup 3-1 defeat of Arsenal at Highbury... Daughter and I got back at about 5,00 am... and watched the MotD highlights about three times on the trot, inc the brill Lynam interview with Bruce at the end...

She remains steadfast, though, that the game against Hull is the best ever...

Must have watched that Tottenham game a hundred times on VHS. Amazing! Is anybody able to upload it?

Paul Merson's books, you say?! Has the big brown fox jumped over the lazy dog yet? ;)

When did the fox lose his yard of pace?

I'd say the 7 or 8 minutes between Owen Coyle's first and Fabian DeFreitas'ses' equaliser with a handful of minutes to go after one of the worst performances from a Rioch team knocks it in to second. (And then, maybe, extra time.)

Most of the Reading play off match reminds me of the Stoke semi.. We just didn't turn up... But then Branny saved that Penalty....

Wasn't the 6-1 vs Spurs under Colin Todd's stewardship?

Hull was amazing.

Still would rank Reading above it, for the sheer ridiculousness of the turn around and the amazing transformation in the space of 20 minutes from deep painful unbearable despair, to utter and absolute elation.

Nothing beats that IMO!

Hmmm, is a bit like choosing between your children, but Hull still edges it for me.
