Re: Message from Gigg
Must say I've never given a shiny fook about Bury in my life. I'm only young. I'm not sure we've ever 'proper' played them that I can remember. And I had a season ticket for 11 years, and been to most home games the last two! As such I'm astounded how many of them are on here. It's good. I'd quite like a derby soon where we get to play the big team who win all the time.

I vaguely remember them beating us in the Carling Cup in around 2001/2002, but I'm not sure that even happened.
I also seem to remember watching us on Sky one Friday night years ago, think it might have been the year we won the Division 1 title.

I remember them beating us in the Carling Cup when Bernard Mendy took his goal tally for the Wanderers to its final total of -1. Sure we probably played them when I was about 12. Don't really remember. Remember the buckets though. Good luck to them. I've enjoyed tonight. Good to know someone cares.

Re: Message from Gigg
It was the year we lost to Watford in the play off final. They beat us 2-1 at Gigg and gave us three stands and couldn't even fill their one remaining stand. What they neglect to mention is that we dicked them 4-0 at the Reebok that year. And they went down (I think).hi there, i'm chris wrote:I also seem to remember watching us on Sky one Friday night years ago, think it might have been the year we won the Division 1 title.

Re: Message from Gigg
I have to admit that I have never had an issue with Bury & really the same re. Blackburn, but I suppose being from Horwich I've never had to put up with their fans to any extent. A few at school, but I always felt "well, at least they don't support Stretford!".
Those tossers on here 11 months ago set my teeth on edge, but I just think of them as unfotunate country bumpkins I I guess

Bury reckon they are going to be out of business by the end of the season anyway, so no league 2 football for Bury, in fact no football for Bury at all.http://www.towerfm.co.uk/news/local/bur ... -problems/.

Anyway, Bury is a cracking game for us, I live closer to Gigg Lane than the Reebok

Troll and proud of it.

She is originally from Bury, as far as I am aware. She went to the same primary as my daughter. A few years prior admittedly.bobo the clown wrote:Do you know anyone .... fckg anyone .... from Bury ?
