Re: Football Kit Collections
This is on ebay at the moment mate;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/matchwinner-r ... 500wt_1287" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Not in ideal nick but 9 times out of 10 these scuffs can be removed after a few sessions with some stain remover, bleach stains are the one biggie i'd avoid though.
P.s it might be a good idea to have a thread similar to this stickied.

Good spot fella, got mine from Ebay and put it through the wash a couple of times it's as right as rain. Plus it's got a number '9' on the back Andy Walker stylee
Apologies also to TD, I forgot myself for a moment when I put shirt instead of jersey.

Just being old-fashioned TKIZ. Back in the day all goalie jerseys were wool and could be any colour as long as it was green. Fat Stan Hanson in a pink strip defies imagination.TKIZ! wrote: Apologies also to TD, I forgot myself for a moment when I put shirt instead of jersey.

Looks good to me, fella. What size is it, and how much do you want for it?Bruce Rioja wrote:Well, this is it. I'm only missing the Normid shirt, which I'm gonna get from the club's retro collection, and the one pictured above....

Mid 70's. (though I seem to recall that the badge was in the middle)BL3 wrote:When did we ever wear that shirt?Bruce Rioja wrote:Retro tops are good forever. I've got this one.

That particular badge first appeared on the 1977/78 Umbro shirt. On the mid-70's shirt it was just a BWFC roundel in a circle minus the bit underneath. The shirt on the other hand, is the same style we wore in the early to mid-70's when Bukta made the kits.Bruce Rioja wrote:Mid 70's. In other words, the shirt you posted is from two different eras. It's a 'cut-and-shut' job! Nice shirt but not one we ever wore i'm afraid.

Incorrect, BL3. It first appeared in the centre of the Bukta shirts in 75/76. It also appears in the centre of the Admiral shirts of 76/77. 76/77 Admiral kit:

Same badge on both. BWFC roundel in a circle minus the ribbon and red rose of Lancashire underneath.

Ah, splendiferous exactitude! Though I never did say that the shirt I posted was an exact replica of one that we'd played in.![]()

my mum used to work at Cambrian... she brought home free cans of Lilt (with the totally tropical taste!) - but never football shirts...
Re: Football Kit Collections
I'm not sure that the tracksuits were even for sale in the Happy Shop. I think they were only ever issued to players and ball boys and even the ball boys didn't get to keep them! The Frankie-style headband accessory was optional.thebish wrote:my mum used to work at Cambrian... she brought home free cans of Lilt (with the totally tropical taste!) - but never football shirts...
