Re: Nigel jarvis cocker
He is a billy big boots and thought he'd have offers galore from the Premiership. Yes, he probably thought Coyle was a cock, but he'd never let that get in the way of his ego. Trawl back through match threads and most comments on him revolve around, can't pass, gave the ball away, ran around, best of a bad bunch etc etc. He'd be better than playing Mavies, possibly Andrews, but he'd not make a positive impact for me.midlands exile wrote:We were shite with him in an Owen Coyle side. Most of last season's squad would be better without that clown and his bunch of second rate chancers in the coaching and fitness department.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:We were shite with him in the side, what makes anyone think we'd be any better with him in the side now?midlands exile wrote:Was thinking exactly that myself...Mar wrote:A different manager and maybe Reo-Coker would sign?
Anyway, I'm not necessarily debating whether we need to sign him back again. Rather whether the relationship with OC was so strained he'd rather be without a club than working with him every day.

Re: Nigel jarvis cocker
I seem to remember him playing pretty well as part of the 3man central midfield during that false dawn of decent results and performances at the start of 2012. Beating Liverpool takes more than capitulating to hull.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:He is a billy big boots and thought he'd have offers galore from the Premiership. So I've moved my stance now... I would actually think he'd be a decent hypothetical signing. Billy big boots or not, with the transfer window, we've got limited options. Although would the fans "forgive" him?
Re: Nigel jarvis cocker
Given the choice of Coyle or NRC I'd take the latter.
Unfortunately we lost one and still have the other.
At least with him in the team we'd have one more person on the field than we currently do who plays like he gives a damn. When OC would mention that we couldn't be 'carrying' players- he certainly wasn't referring to Nige.

Absolutely delighted to see him have to drop to the level of a struggling Paul Jewell side.
We will recover from our position.
I don't see Ipswich doing so.
Serves him right for running.

He didn't want to be part of our team.
Not seeing him in White will do for me, given that fact.

Re: Nigel jarvis cocker
As I said numerous times: I'd rather play for Accrington Stanley on £50 a week than be in our team and use to do the running for 6/7 players whilst they look at you thinking "What's he doing there putting one foot in front of the other more quickly than normal?!"
He must've been fvckin' seething after every match when he saw some of the lazy bastards picking up their money in that dressing room.
Without Reo-Coker, we'd have been down 6 weeks earlier

You have your moments, young man
I have no issue with Andrews and used right could play a big part, but, NRC did the hard yards last season and I appreciated his efforts
Ran himself into the ground that lad
Bit too much of a character for St Owen, methinks

Iv said this loads of times
I really thought he'd be our captain for years to come
Rather have him than play against him
Overall he's a better central midfielder than anyone we currently have
