You are right with the residual level of goodwill, but conversely, this means for many, he will get the dogs abuse through the nature of his departure and lack of respect he showed in the following interviews. I am not sure how it is going to pan out.

I find it quite funny that the Palace fans are talking about how he is Judas etc.. He left you near the top of the table in a fantastic position with some great young players. I could understand with Coyle and Burnley because he jumped ship when they was fighting to stay up in the Premiership and they went on to be relegated.
