It would require a fair old amount of work/life jiggerypokery but I'm thinking about it

We'll win. 2-1. Fab de Freitas and John Dreyer. Barry Knight for them.

I'm guessing we'll win, as I'm not going, but am going to the Charlton game, which is where it will undoubtedly come crashing down. Jinx would be kind for me.

Must admit I find this heading rather confusing. I only read as far as "Mick" and then click on it looking to see a thread about the Wolves whilst wondering why we are getting so far ahead of ourselves.
Re: Away at Mick McCarthy's Super Ipswich Town
Anyone know how strict stewards are at turnstiles at Portman Road?
My mate seems to think we look young enough to get as an U16 (Which we did at Leeds after being asked our D.O.B), we've also done this at other away games and we only look young.
Do you think they'll be bothered? Leeds was the first time i've been asked.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Would I travel all the way to Ipswich and risk not getting in for the sake of a few Quid? Difficult one!Parr93 wrote:Anyone know how strict stewards are at turnstiles at Portman Road?

I would if i had the money too, i'd rather break the law than not go as i wouldn't be able to go otherwise as i'm a full time student.bobo the clown wrote:Pay yer feckin way.Parr93 wrote:Anyone know how strict stewards are at turnstiles at Portman Road?

I'm also a season ticket holder (full adult price) and I like to get to as many away games as money allows me, so paying the full adult price for away games would mean i would only be able to get to around 3 away games a year whereas paying as an U16 i can get to 7 or 8 (I pay for the official club coach too)
Re: Away at Mick McCarthy's Super Ipswich Town
It's £20 difference! Which might not sound a lot to a working man but for a student it's a fair amount. (if it was my choice i'd have got an U20 Ticket but my mate refuses considering we've got away with it numerous times before)Bruce Rioja wrote:Would I travel all the way to Ipswich and risk not getting in for the sake of a few Quid? Re: Away at Mick McCarthy's Super Ipswich Town
Obviously, the sensible advice is to pay full whack; however, I'd rate your chances at getting in as fairly high. Firstly, I once watched a 40 year old bloke away at Fulham get in on a kids ticket. The woman at the turnstile said 'You have to be under 16 you know?' to which he looked her in the eye and said 'Yeah?'. You could see in her eyes should just couldn't be arsed with the commotion. Age restrictions rely a massive amount on folk doing the right thing. There's no reason for an Under 16 to have ID, so if you're brazen enough I'd be very surprised if they didn't let you in. There are a lot bigger consequences for them if you were under 16 and they turned you away than if you aren't and they let you in. #PRnightmare.Parr93 wrote:I would if i had the money too, i'd rather break the law than not go as i wouldn't be able to go otherwise as i'm a full time student.bobo the clown wrote:Pay yer feckin way.Parr93 wrote:Anyone know how strict stewards are at turnstiles at Portman Road?

Be careful though, they might put you in jail .

Re: Away at Mick McCarthy's Super Ipswich Town
you have a choice - the choice to get a u20 ticket!
and also, the fact it takes about eight days to get to ipswich, i wouldn't want to waste that by trying to con it in.

Re: Away at Mick McCarthy's Super Ipswich Town
I assure you I do not need to 'Get a wash' nor am I a thief, our club needs all the support it can get, and if that means not conforming to extortionate prices that clubs charge nowadays then so be it.bobo the clown wrote:Theiving student.Parr93 wrote:Thanks for the replies, I get told I only look about 12 anyway so I should be fine, hope we can get another important win!
