Please don't let your dislike of the man let you forget how much clogging he took for Bolton for almost ten years without ever crying about it.

I have absolutely no dislike for him whatsoever. Quite the opposite.

I do have a problem when people think the Kevin Davies we have now is the same as the one circa 2008 because he's not.

I also think it's a bit harsh when someone has a dislocated shoulder that probably needs an operation to infer that he's not "tough enough". He went to hospital with oxygen being administered. Despite popular myth Kevin Davies would not be playing on in similar circumstances.

You don't probably need an op for a dislocated shoulder. You may or may not. Unless he broke it as it dislocated, then he shouln't "need" oxygen. I probably wouldn't expect him to play on if it was a first dislocation. There's a world of difference between dislocated finger and dislocated shoulders. You can shatter the socket putting a finger back in, but once done, tends not to be too uncomfortable.


Either way he's very injury prone.

I think we'll miss ngog, best run of his Bolton career. And he was excellent last night as lone striker. A lot of people slag him off but we've consistently been a better team with him in it for the last 2 seasons. One ray of hope is that Craig davies looked fresh and sharp and there's competition between probably the best two finishers at the club to partner him.

Agree they like to give oxygen, but not sure it's necessarily an indication of "serious". Shoulders hurt the first time certainly, they go back in easier after a few goes though. My left goes back in quite easily, my right is a lot more painful as it's only popped a couple of times.

Fingers on the other hand I've had little problem with in terms of playing on (as I say assuming you don't fcuk the socket putting them back). Saw one mate shatter his as he tried to relocate it. That was a fecking mess.

Personally I would actually now be in favour putting KD up front with Craig Davies now that Ngog is injured (anything to avoid playing Sordell or Hall). That is assuming we play 2 strikers which I think we will probably need to in the home games.

But then we've no real pace to get behind the defence, he's gonna start with Sordell and C Davies, then take Sordell off when he begins to sulk and put either SKD or Tom Eaves on. 2 Strikers is a must at home BTW
