IMO that's where we get the best out of him.

Let me get this right then. To press, is Hall our only option for left midfield?
May the bridges I burn light your way

Chungy I guess is the other option as per a lot of games last season but if eagles is playing off the forward then Chungy would probably play right side you'd think, so Samni Odelusi is the only left foot player I would think from development team.

Eagles is technically a left mid.

"Technically" he's right footed, so he's a right mid. But I agree, he's capable of playing there. All 3 wingers are capable of playing either side I reckon, so that's good

I don't see how anybody is technically an anything!

Anyway, one thing this thread shows is that we are really short on depth at the moment. Everyone is basically picking picking the same back 5 (Bruce apart) and very similar midfields.

I'm not sure what I'd pick for the opening day, but later in the same a midfield of:

-----Holden----Medo-----
Lee-------Davies-----Eagles

makes me fecking excited.

Pretty much where I'm at. Worrying thing is sounds like no more ins at the minute.

So Knight and Wheater will be there to concede 2/3 a game. Brilliant.

Aye, I don't have the same faith in Wheater as most. He was fairly immobile before he broke his leg. Probably ok from set-pieces, but the minute we move the defence towards the half-way line, he's susceptible to anyone moving faster than an ice-floe.

Agree with most of that for day 1, would put Hall in on the left though and probably Wheater in at cb with a new partner (Dawson please if your reading Mr F :D ). A few changes when we get all players back fit (and signed) ie Mavies and Holden

I thought u didn't think Lee was up to it and wanted to get rid? I also thought u wanted to pair n'gog and beckford in a 4-4-2?

That could be an option. If playing 2 up front.

We haven't got the options to leave Lee out, not at this stage.

As Pru says we are very short of options in several areas.

We've played just the 1 up front in all the games I've seen so far. It could be he just not had the forwards to go 2 up front yet?

BTW not seen this 3 at the back system he is rumoured to like?

With the lack of signings at centre-half maybe he's hopeful we can get Dawson back in one form or another.

Doesn't appear so. Appears we don't have the money for anyone else without selling first.

Was thinking along the lines of another loan rather than buying someone. Buying would be nice but i'm fairly sure we wouldn't stump up the cash for a heavy priced CB.
